grapemeister Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Anybody else had a problem with the stock front sight on the XD Tactical breaking off? I've had two break off in less than a year. I think the 1st one broke off around the 1st of the year and the 2nd one broke off last month. Neither was hit by anything, or banged into the top of open ports. Both sheared right off while shooting at open targets. I shoot about 2000 rounds a month in practice, so maybe its stress and/or metal fatigue? I also do a lot of practice draws in dry fire practice, so maybe the numerous holstering and drawing from the holster puts stress on the metal over time? In both cases Springfield Armory replaced the sight for free. They have awesome customer service, by the way. Chris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
