Krieghoff
I currently have a carbon fiber hand guard without a sling stud. My gas block has a small rail section on top. For some reason, I have a gut feeling that I should not attach a sling to the gas block. Is my thinking correct or unwarranted? This would not be for daily use, only the rare three gun match that requires a sling. Buddy
saibot
You're correct. If you use the one on the gas block you will be affect the POI when pressure is added/changed for the same reason we all have moved to floating hand guards. Does your hand guard have a place to add a swivel stud? If not, and if does have a picatiny rail you can add one of the Magpul ones on it.
