Rem 700 SA bottom metal / mag that wpuld allow 3.05" OAL ?

I am thinking about building 6mm-284 or 6,5-284. Big Horn SA action etc.

But, most short action mags only take about 2.95" OAL loaded ammo. I know Seekins has 3.14" for WSM, but that is little too much milling the receiver for me and needed would be only around 3.05"

Any ideas would be very helpful

Not sure.... but why not just build it on a long action?!?

I have 2 main reasons not to use long action: stock I have only works with short action and not available for LA. And I have seen LA 6,5-284 - it did not feed very well, seemed like jump around ½" to get on ramp was too much

A 6.5-06 on a 700 l/a is very forgiving in COAL latitude and simply dupes 6.5-284 case capacity,less it's inherent concessions.

I went thru the same thing with a 300 wsm. I wound up having the action enlarged. Not really that much.
