Pdoyle Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I posted about all the help from the shooting community for the assistance with a young 6 year old daughter of one of the police officers from my department. He just recently returned from Iraq as well. Kaylin Tru was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain stem about 6 months ago. She underwent 30 radiation treatments. During this time members of the department had a raffle for a handgun to assist with any expenses for the family. With all YOUR contributions, we were able to raise almost $5000 for the family for one handgun. Some of the responses from the family was disbelief to tears for the gifts from all you. As stated before, it is hard for someone in our postions (LEO) to accept assistance. I for one am so grateful and proud to surrond myself with all of you. However, Baby Kaylin passed away this morning. SHe fought until the very last...the family in thier loss recognizes all of your contributions for thier family, and I truly am honored for each of you...
