m&p magazine differences

Does anyone happen to know difference in construction, finish used between m&p 45 and pro, 9, whatever? My pros mags are a dull black but others I've had were blued and it seems like all my 45s mags are stainless with some sort of coating? Anyone have a clue? Would like to re finish my mags and trying to find a starting point, gonna try to polish the s*** out of one of the 14rd mags that I never use and see what I get.

I'm not sure about the .45 mags but the original blued mags had some problems with surface rust so they changed the coating to the duller product. I'm not really sure what the actual differences are.
