astephenson
I'm looking to purchase a Dawson ICE no gap magwell for my STI Trojan in 9mm for use in IDPA ESP. As it is right now, with the STI steel magwell and MSH my gun weighs 42.7 ounces (with an empty Tripp Research Cobra mag). Does anyone know what the weight of each of these parts is? Is the Dawson magwell gonna put me over the 43 ounce limit? I called Dawson and the gentleman wasn't able to help me. Thanks in advance. TCKev
Sorry I'm not any help but in about a week I'll be able to tell you how much they weigh.
ah1356
I could take mine apart and weigh the pieces if you want, but I can tell you that my 9mm Trojan made weight at A6 and the SS Nat's. One scale was calibrated in fractions and the other in decimals, and my pistol weighed in at 42 7/8 oz and 42.9oz respectively. Setup was stock with the following exceptions: Original wood grips sanded smooth with skateboard tape Dawson Ice no gap & steel MSH Disabled grip safety Ed Brown ambi safety Dawson FO Front sight Aftec extractor Replaced stock hammer & sear with Brazos kit. Wilson ETM mag with home-brew base pad made of modified and glued together stock and longer after market Wilson pads. Let me know if this is close enough or if you'd like me to weigh the MSH and magwell individually. Aaron
