GordonB
I have an 1100 with an Easy Loader. When I reload, it feels somewhat clunky. When I push on the Easy Loader I can feel herky-jerky resistance. Anybody have any experience in making it smoother? I was thinking of shortening/lightening the spring for the Easy Loader to make it easier to push. Is this a bad idea? I don't see why the spring has to be that strong. Also I was going to break the edges a little bit and just polish everything. Any tips on what I should specifically polish?
TMC
Don't mess with the spring. Your second thought was right. When I frst starded using speed loaders for my 1100 it was just like you say and it was scrapng plastic off the sides of the hulls. Take a Dremel to the entry of the mag tube at the receiver and round over the edges and smooth everything out. Check for any rough casting, mill marks or flash that the shells can hang up on. You'll be amazed how well speed loaders will work once that's done. Also a little silicone on the pusher and tube doesnt hurt either.
