A long time ago, I owned a 5" 610.  That is, by the way, a much better barrel length than the 4" (short radius too short) or 6.5" (muzzle too heavy).  I had no real use for it, and it was worth quite a bit of money, so it went down the road.  Too bad S&W doesn't bring back the 610 in that barrel length.

And I've still got it!  Plus another I picked up along the way.😎

I have TK hammers and triggers in 3 guns, about to be 5, and love them. TK did the action work as I asked, with a fast(heavy) rebound and they came out just right. With a 6lb trigger I'm still able to shoot consistent .16s and some .14s and .15s when I push.

I have had plenty of Apex hammers in the past and I can promise you that both Apex and TK are a step up in quality and looks from the factory hammer. If you're considering spending the money on some aftermarket parts like that you though, you should consider sending the gun in for a full action package to TK.

And you will be more than impressed with what you get back.

Whats the old holster placement rules?

Prior to becoming the nationals, the Single Stack Classic stages were based on equipment you might carry on a day to day basis.  The stages were designed that one would not need more than a loaded gun and two magazines to complete.  Basically no more than 24 rounds.  I don't remember the holster rules exactly, but it had to be much closer to the body than current rules and the front strap had to be above the top belt line, as it is now.

If I'm wrong here someone will be along shortly to set me straight.

  4. You're not going to find many revolver shooters at the two clubs in the Tucson area.  Not sure about Phoenix, as I haven't been to a club match there in quite a while.  I usually shoot single stack or revo here, and I'm typically the only revo shooter when I choose to shoot it.  The majority shoot limited, production, and open. (Not necessarily in that order).

Your selection of revo attended matches in PHX will be better, and its not too long of a drive if you live on the Northwest side of Tucson.

There is a once a month ICORE match in Tucson and Phoenix (Maybe more in PHX).  The ICORE state match, and the Western States Revo Match.

  5. I picked one up two weeks ago, and have put about 200 rounds of HPR 180gr JHP, Underwood 200gr FP, and PPU 180gr JHP.

The HPR, and Underwood, are loaded to 10mm velocities. The PPU, not so much.... (Chronoed in a glock 20 several months ago)

The 40 shot shot nicely and felt balanced. Accuracy seemed O.K. I believe it will do much better with a propper set of sights.

I'm really interested in chronoing the same ammo out of the six inch barrel.
