  1. Fun match! The 3 days flew by, because of the fun I had and also my excitement was only intensified by the shooters in my squad and others I observed while moving to and from the stages. This was the first Blue Ridge that I shot, and it was a HOOT!!!!!!!! Thank You, to all of the RO's, range Masters, the photographers, statistician and Sponsors of the match from the Title Sponsor to the Contributors. A Big Thanks to Mr. Andy Horner, for his time and effort for a match that renewed my enjoyment of this sport of 3 gunning!

  2. I learned that there are fewer and fewer matches that are worth going to, even if they have gigantic prize tables. Target presentation, interpretive R.O.ing and poor stage design.

Even if you hate Peacocks they are still going to strut, so it isn't worth the effort.

Shooting over seas is more fun than most matches in the U.S. even though there are no prize tables and it costs a lot more to go.

I learned that I can shoot passibly well without a hangover, although it isn't as much fun. :)

I learned that most folks in a fancy shooting shirt whom I have never seen before really don't have much of a sense of hummor.

I learned that the more folks want to change 3-gun, the more discord is spread, just look at the change in posts on rules, how to put on a match and scoring from 2010 to now.....NOT GOOD!!!

    hahahahahahahaha :roflol:

  3. After reading Brian's book a few years ago, I went to a one day shooting instruction class taught by Angus on shooting steel. During the class I finally felt what Brian discusses in his book, I found clarity! I dropped the illusion of how, I thought I should see things while I shot, and embraced the “call your shot” mentality. I really feel like if I did the class first then read Brian's book, I would have lost out on that feeling.

  4. It was entertaining. IMO there was too little homage paid to the original tv series. At least they could have named his old CIA friend "Mickey". The original McCall was suave. Denzel was smooth, but not suave. Still a good movie and I'm glad I saw it. BTW, hardware stores can be dangerous places.

    In others words, no Jaguar?

  5. Nearly ran a local 5 stand (24/25) yesterday with my M2 with front and rear pistol sights.

I was talking to Clint Upchurch about that "pistol front and rear sights'. But I just got done shooting and wasn't in the mind frame of listening and it totally went in one ear and out the next. I am going to look into that also. Thank You!

  6. After this weekends match at the PRO AM @ the Rock, I have come to realize I am seriously in need of a rear sight for my Remington Versa Max for shooting SLUGS!!! If anyone has any ideas from what they have used on there own Versa Max with great success, please let me know?

    Thanks
