  1. One of my pals owns a half-dozen stock CZ-75s including an SP01 Shadow. All of them have a heavy DA pull and creepy SA release that's far worse than my 1911 or M&P with Apex sear and striker block. Ordering a tuned CZ-75 from the custom shot was a no-brainer for me when the time came to get one. I trust that it will be all that when it arrives next month.

  2. I hadn't heard of Top Gun Supply until last week when a friend praised them to high heaven. I immediately signed up for a range of in-stock notifications. Glad that I acted quickly when the email arrived. Such are the troubled times that we live in!

  3. I ended up going with the HAJO tactical rear. Best case, the sight is as sturdy as it looks and there's nothing to worry about. Worst case, CZC makes a couple fixed rear sights that fit that cut. There's aren't a lot of options, but I see ones that will work.

I couldn't have picked a worse time to be shopping for extra magazines :)

  4. I'm getting together an order for an SP-01 Accu Shadow from the CZ Custom Shop and am having a tough time picking a rear sight. Seems like the main decision to get right is the cut (Novak, CZ Shadow, or LPA).

I'll be shooting the pistol in Steel Challenge and possibly USPSA/IDPA. Ammo will be factory or remanufactured. No plans to reload in the foreseeable future.

I've stuck with fixed sights on my M&Ps and 1911s these past few years after watching the blade fly off several LPA and Bo-Mar models. That's not big deal with my M&Ps since they're not accurate enough to tell if the sights are off by an inch or two. However, I'm thinking to go with some form of adjustable sight on this pistol because it will be so accurate and I can't guarantee my ammo recipe. I can always install a fixed sight in the future should things change.

My bad experience with LPA adjustable sights years ago have me leaning toward Novak-style sight (Dawson Precision?), but maybe there's a rugged adjustable sight that fits an LPA cut these days. The CZ Shadow cut seems to provide the least number of options in the future. What do you all think?

  5. I've been shooting my M&Ps out of a Raven Phantom for about two years. It's a fine choice for concealed carry, but I wouldn't recommend it if that isn't a primary purpose. The holster holds the pistol high and tight against the body, which slows down the draw slightly and requires more shoulder motion compared to lower and looser models. But it does conceal extremely well and is comfortable when sitting down.
