just a thought. i use winchester small rifle primers exclusively in my 9x23 race gun because the nominal working pressure of the 9x23 is beyond that of normal pistol cartridges

if i ask before i do something goofy then i will never do anything. as for embarrassed, you must not have seen my shooting partner Machelle and i before and after a stage. her husband turns away in embarrassment at our antics.

thank you Erik. uspsa is SUPPOSED to be freestyle. a problem is presented, restrictions are placed, properly for safety reasons, and the shooter is to find the best solution to the problem. if someone finds a better way they should be praised for original thinking, not penalised or called demeaning names.
keep thinking outside the box!

after reading the COF, i look the stage over. if i have an idea not PROHIBITED in the stage description, i do it. i do NOT ask if it is ok. they can't tell you no after you do it!

sorry guys, i said the OTHER one is young pretty and blond. i am not blond, can't remember ever being called pretty and qualify to shoot senior in USPSA, though not old enough to shoot senior in ICORE

on the way home from the 2000 nationals my fuel pump died late saturday night just west of "Resume Speed" Oklahoma. had to wait until 9am monday for the dealership to open. there is NOTHING to do in oklahoma on a sunday with no wheels!

i shot the 2001 ICORE in D class after shooting the classifiers. i ended up third D. first and second D were USPSA A class shooers. in uspsa i am C class at roughly 50%. these 2 guys walked off with dillon 650s. i got a plaque. i would not be hard on a D shooter who just that weekend got moved to C. think how i felt.

i ran my Para 9x23 open gun from oct 1999 to dec 2002. i lost track of the # of rounds. no cracks or failures. the P14 is practically new, less than 10k rounds. still, no cracks though. i will let you know how they stand up when i get back to competition in january 2003

i have had an aftec in my Para 9x23 since jan of 2000 with Zero problems. aftec is the best thing ever to happen to the 1911

let me get this straight. i am somehow better off with an 18 rd mag that jams the gun vs. a 14 rd that runs flawlessly. i do NOT see the logic!

for my Para P 14 i run strictly Para factory mags with factory extended pads which gets me 14 in the mag. at the 2000 nationals when i questioned Todd Jarret about magazines i noticed that even in open class Todd runs factory mag tubes with factory extended pads. when asked he said he uses ONLY factory followers with Wolff springs.

the slide not locking open IS the mag follower being chewed up. STI mags require STI followers. for your Para mags just get Para followers from Brownells. and the STI mags use different Dawson pads than the Para mags.

under the DCM a USPSA member can also purchase an AR15 at a reduced price.
