  1. I just watched a video of someone with a T1C holster using a heat gun to soften it up and the holster was pretty much remolded with the Odin thumb rest. Seemed to work fine. I have a hellfire holster but sadly, he stopped making them.

  2. I’m a fan of the alpha x. The initial purchase kind of sucks being about $250 all said and done with holster and insert but the inserts themselves are around $50ish. Simple to swap and fit to your gun as long as they make the insert. They are on here used from time to time. That’s how I got mine.

  3. I have to agree with the above comment. The PMM comp is pretty nice and not as expensive if you already have a 320 you want to throw it on. Even if you bought a new gun and the barrel/comp kit, I believe it’ll still be less overall.

  4. So, I wasn’t going to do the SC on my gun. Grip tape worked fine for me. However, the back up gun I bought was done with SC and the grip was reduced. I love it. I’ll be doing my main gun the same way.

The job is pretty straight forward but some people may not have the tools or time to do it so I think it’ll still be a benefit to offer your services.

Same, but if it is not reliable then it is a worthless plan.  Maybe at a local match having fun, but at a major, I would always just reload.

Don’t make me nervous. I’m going to my first major in April and I’m about to give it a full on send hahaha

I easily get 23+1 with a grams follower and TTI spring in a 17+5 TTI.  100% reliable.  1 round is not worth wondering if it is going to run.  thanks

I’d agree with you most times. However, on 24 round stages I’ll normally do a reload. There’s been some where I wouldn’t have if I had one more round to have as a possible make up. Granted, I’ve been burnt on a few 24 round stages where I thought I had it in me to not need the make up lol. That’s on me though.

pretty much everyone I’ve heard of that’s gotten them to run 100% had to grind the base pad.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to do. But it’s definitely not plug and play.

Interesting. I’m assuming on the henning pads?

No grinding other than the tubes of the Rx ones.

Just to be sure, your TTI pads worked fine? Currently I have all TTI

  8. I’ve heard good things about the rune but I suppose nothing is perfect. Sick’s you’re having issues with both, Rich406. I’d like to try one or the other though as my local has numerous 24 round stages and I’m starting to feel confident enough to run with a 24+1.

  9. I went with the x5. The max wasn’t out yet. If I were to buy another CO gun, it would be the max. GG kit is nice and light. However, I picked up an sig package from a buddy and he had a mix of GG parts and some parts from Sussex gunworks. It’s a tad bit heavier by about a pound and change but the wall feels better. Granted, this is personal preference and in dry fire. DPP worked great for me but the package included a SRO which I plan on trying. I do have a Odin armory man-o-war thumb rest and love it. Big step up.

All in all, I’m happy I went with a x5 and have no regrets.

Yes - ported barrels or sides that act as comp are now legal.

Interesting. I need to get into the IDPA book.

Is now for IDPA - Carry Optics!

Can that be shot in IDPA? I know minimal about IDPA but funny you bring it up because I’m shooting one with a buddy in three weeks.

Over the last 6 months, I went up to a Tanfo Limited Pro set up for CO. On paper, it should be the better gun. But a short time later, I picked up a PDP compact and now a 5 inch compact. And I really enjoy shooting the Walthers. Pros and cons to everything but I've picked up both PDPs under $550 and someone that just picks a platform and sticks with it, will be much better off.

I haven’t shot the PDP yet, but it is a nice feeling platform. If I wasn’t so invested in sig and looking to get into other divisions, I’d probably get one.

You gave to go through the menu in your charging case and turn off the wind noise optiond..

Hmmmm. that sounds easy enough and probably close in the front of the manual. lol. If i only read that. Thank you!

I bought the 64 and absolutely love it! I got rid of my GoPro to offset the cost.  The only setting I’m trying to adjust is when I record the match, my rounds sound muffled.

mine does the same. im not sure there is a way around it but if you find a way, please share lol

    Interesting discussion..

my 2 cents.. I vibrate all brass for an hour in old media. This cleans all the dirt, debris and mud off the cases. Then, I tumble the brass in corn cob with either NuFinish or Dillon polish for about a hour to 1 1/2 hours. This saves a bit of money on the cost of the media by repurposing the old media.

thats really not a bad idea. Im tempted to do the same before wet tumbling

Make sure to degrease the grip and let dry before application.  Also, hit the grips with a hair dryer to melt the glue into every crease and hold them down as they dry/set.

All steps I wish I did hahaha. But even so, still going strong. Just doubt I’ll get the life as others do because of it.
