Going to order some MBX competition mags and was curious if anyone has tried the Black Nitride coated stainless? Just curious how they hold up vs the standard stainless? Thanks!

Yes. Just found out about them recently and then shot the last match up there. Awesome place. Unfortunately I did a slide lock reload on my P320 .40 on my third stage and it bent the fcu bar bad enough to make the gun stop functioning, so didn’t get to finish. Having two matches a month available within an hour is one of the big reasons I’m getting more into it again.

Not this year, but I will likely be attending as my good friend Is going to compete.

Hi, I have been following and learning from this forum for many years. With the wealth of knowledge available I didn’t have the need to post any questions, but recently wanted to get active on here as I’m getting more involved and committed to USPSA. I have been shooting USPSA for 4 seasons, but haven’t shoot too many matches the last two years. I have Don (Venom Custom) building me a 2011 limited and looking to come back full steam. I have been a member out at Briar Rabbit in Zanesville for about 8 years. Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself and I hope to see you at the range! -Jason

I appreciate all the input! I ended up going with Venom Custom. After speaking with Don and looking at the other reviews/pictures, it was exactly what I’m looking for. I went with a bull barrel 5” setup.

I owned a TSO and shot it for a season. It had a great trigger, I had an oversized safety, thumb rest and Lok palm swell grips. I loved the gun, but fealt it was just a bit small/awkward once I had installed the upgrades. The position of the thumb safety also caused some issues when gripping for me. I would recommend you consider what I will look like after your preferred upgrades. For reference, I wear a Large size glove. I finally gave up and currently have a 2011 Limited being built by Don.

Hi, I am currently running the Smokeless Range 2.0 and IPSC challenge on my home simulator. Just curious if there is any other software out there worth trying? I did a trial of the Shoot Point Blank software, which was also pretty good, just trying to find some new things to mix it up. Thanks Jason

The island barrels and sight blocks definitely seem like a cool concept, but without ever trying one I’m having a hard time justifying the upgrade price/value. I’m definitely leaning towards steel grip.
