I have had the 9/38 140mm, new style STI mags for a couple weeks now. They are awesome. You need to contact STI to get them. The 170mm mags have not arrived yet. They run in my 9 major and super comp flawless. I did put grams springs and followers in them and TTI base pads.

May I ask how recent that Bedell build is? It looks like a newer comp design than the one I have.A spur of the moment cell phone video I shot yesterday of Jeff Gordon with his Bedell 9mm open pistol
The gun was built last June. Yes it's a new comp, he has been using them for a year now

When will prizes be mailed out ? I have a email from you 8 days ago saying you would mail prized out, in my eyes the match is not over until that is done. Other than that, the match was great, the staff was great too. And thank you Memphis for stepping up in a time of need to help a club in need out.
You in a hurry for a shovel to move all that sand around?
Right on !

Boy looky hear ..... what I found at the Indiana match this past weekend, Phoenix Trinity was there and on there table along with there grips was some bags of there new 17-4 stainless steel, grip bushings and torx screws that they made, the front screw takes a No. 8 torx and the big one is a No. 20 torx

Sounds like you guys got it going on then

OGI have. It would be a little more difficult to mount and is at least twice the cost. I figured for $65 why not!
10-4 on the cost, I was just thinking about how the joe blocks can give you a precision angle, have you looked at walking the angle up using a 1/2 EM with a .060 lead

OG,
You look at a sin plate or a sin vise ?

The answer to your question really relies in your choice , there is so many combinations you could go with, but I will tell you this what ever PT parts you use , you will be more than satisfied with them, on a side note talk to some other open shooters ask them about there guns, see if they would have done anything different when there's we're built and look at what you think is important in a gun. All of my guns were purpose built, I had my smith put every cut , blend, radius and so on where I wanted, I look at it as my guns are tools to use not for looking at. So put some thought into it, you will make good decisions and you will have a great gun when your done, good luck and post pics when it's doneSlightly off topic but if you wre going to build a 9mm open gun to use with major and minor ammo and I am going to use Trinity parts would you use the short dust cover frame and aluminum grip or what combo would work best.
Thanks

No violations of Troy's first rule that I saw.
And what rule was that ?

Not to high jack the thread but.... I've see that PT grips using SVI triggers, yet I've also seen people using STI triggers. Are both drop in or wouldn't the STI be sloppy in the grip?[/quote
The grips you have seen with the S_~ trigger inserts in it were special run for a few people, all PT grips use SV triggers

Hi,
I am in need of some advice from those of you who have the Phoenix Trinity SS Grip with the DAA Racemaster holster with STI insert.
Also I am installing SVI triggers for both PT grips. I was anticipating USING the tri-glide and was wondering if those that did the change themselves had to do any modifications to the trigger or bow. PT told me they are designed to accept the SV trigger w/o any modifications and was curious as to the real world experience.
Thanks for your time.
Stephen
That is REAL WORLD advise from the manufacture, listen to the people who designed it, plus your question on the holster is all over the forum , do a search, or even just look around, after you get your grips you will wonder why you didn't get them sooner...lol

You must be thinking of titanium

Go to grabcad.com, enter 1911 in search. First or second page there is a short dust cover sti frame 3d model. Downloadable in igs file or stl.You will never find one on the net !
Thanks anyway, I was not the one who was wanting it, I see the the birth of 2011 frames all the time...lol

To be honest, the lightning cuts have been around for ever... Cheeley, Freedom, Gans, etc... have been doing them for decades.
Two of the 3 you listed, have NOT been around for decades, do not mislead people

If you was going to do something like that, I would get a smooth and start there
-
All grips start life the same size, yes the type of texture depends on how the grip feels, and yes the aggressive feels smaller because the highest point of the texturing is the highest poit on the smooth, so the more material that is removed for your hand to go into makes it feel smaller but it really is not
