I'm gonna have to try that Kool-Aid trick. . .
-
I too would say get the Ruger 22/45, I've got one and love it
-
I'm going to try Precision Delta's 147 and 3.3 gr. TG with OAL 1.15 in my G34. It should work good and I can't wait to chrono it!!
-
I owned a factory built one but it was a long time ago, don't remember anything particularly bad about it.
However, last week I was helping a buddy build an AR using an Oly lower and the mag well was so tight that mags wouldn't drop freely. YMMV

I prefer the G20 over the G35 for Standard/Limited competition. I have found that the G20 has less felt recoil than the G35 and I can use the 40 S&W Long Loaded (+1.190 OAL) which eliminates most of the over pressurization that occurs with a fast burning powders (I.e. N320) if bullet setback were to occur.
This may be a dumb question, but do you load .40 in the G20 10mm factory mags?

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm going with the Sevigney sights and a Bladetech holster.
Keith
Good choice in holster

I'm using a Dawson FO front and a Heinie rear on my G34 w/ a CR Speed belt and Blade Tech DOH holster. I really like that DOH holster a lot, I hope that they don't get outlawed.
-
I'm currently shooting a G34 in Production but am thinking hard about getting a G35 and shooting limited.
-
I use the Blade Tech DOH for my G34 and LOVE it.

Glocks Rock
That is all

A friend of mine shoots these exclusively in his limited gun, I'm going to give them a try in my G34 in production class.
-
Still haven't purchased any of the Berry's bullets, but I got an order of 3K Precision Delta 147gr. FMJ that I'm going to try.
Thinking about getting and aftermarket barrel and shooting lead, too.
-
Wait a minute, you are supposed to clean Glock mags?
-
Try precisiondelta.com or Angus' site, I believe it is ghost holster or something like that.
I believe that precisiondelta.com has their 147gr bullets for like $60/1000

Thanks a lot for the info. I'm gonna send him an IM.

Local guy makes a 147 hard cast bullet that I used when I started shooting USPSA with my glock 34. Stock barrel too. Couldn't beat them at the time for $33 per thousand.
Is that guy still around and making bullets?
-
Thanks for the links, but for $5-10/thousand, I can get jacketed bullets.
-
Where are you getting your molly coated bullets?
-
Anyone use hard cast lead bullets? Do you like them and would you advise to use them in USPSA competition?
-
I'm wanting to try these in 9mm and am curious if anyone here has used them before and if you have, what you thought about them.
I'll be shooting these in my Production Class G34

What is the purpose of grip tape on the bottom of your mags?

For the longest time, i'd periodically get an out of battery related failure right after a mag reload (with a round in the chamber) in my G26 with G17 mags, A&G grip extenders and Arredondo +4 extensions (21 rds total). At first I replaced my Wolff 14lb recoil spring/rod set with a 16lb (stock poundage) setup, but still, once in a while, i'd get a "click" on the first shot after the reload, with a tell tale off-center primer strike.
This will also only happen with a round in the chamber; the gun does not get slapped out of battery when "ramming in" a full mag on an empty chamber (slide closed).
The only solution which seems to work so far, is to keep the mag downloaded -2 (19 rds), in order for the mag to "headbutt" the slide slighty less forcefully on the reload.
Anyone else have this experience???????
Thanks,
Serge.
Was at a match this past weekend and Dave Sevigny was having a similar problem, he told me that he atributed (sp?) it to a too weak recoil spring, he was using a 12lb and said he was now going to go heavier.

The comptac beltfeed is a great unit. I ordered it for glock mags and could also crank it down to hold beretta mags. However, an even better option would be the CR Speed pouches. They will serve your production needs and also STI mags should you ever switch to limited.
I use the comptac beltfeed for production and I really like it a lot, much better than some of the other pouches I've used

I bought one of the COM TAC speed feed mag pouches and I like it so far, have shot 3 matches with it. In addition to the four mags in the Com Tac i usually carry two in my pocket
