Thank's everyone! Got my die last week and it's as good as everyone said it is. Seems to be holding within .002" OAL. Truly amazing and well worth the money. Got it from Wideners and it was $64.00 to my door. Mark

How does everyone set their 1050 expanding die? To me the directions don't seem very clear. It says to turn die down until desired bell on case is formed. It seems to me the bell is formed by the powder activator. Mark

Sorry, I wasn't thinking. I asked how the process compared to rails and what the price was and here was his answer. Hello, Thank you for asking. The weld up slide to frames work very well, the limiting factor is the quality of the cut in the slide. The Accurail crew machines the slide and frame, we do not go that far. If the slide is a Caspian the result is 98% as tight as rails. The welds do not fall our, nor crack nor get dirt under them. We charge 135.00 for the service.
