  1. I just got off the phone with TF this minute.... They are working on mag extensions for the Canik's. (I would guess the Walther also, didn't ask), said to check back on their web sight in a month.. It seems the TF's CZ products are about .030 to long for the USPSA gauge test and the spring can move internally a bit (noisy). (For USPSA he said a slight amount of material must be removed from the bottom of the mag extension to insure 140 mm compliance). I was also told the stock spring would be adequate (guessing the 20 round one as it is longer than the 18 rounder when the extension is released..... Say tuned.... had a fellow shooter 170 mm mags questioned.... He had put grip tape on the bottoms and the tape made the mags too long....Luckly, it was a local match and he removed the tape and was "legal"....

  2. Open B...Could you post a little more info?.... Is your set up similar to the red one shown on the sight (allen screw in bottom) and there appears to be 2 different springs shown> I don't want to get the wrong items. Thanks.

  3. I have two gen 4 x  34's ...The Glock adaptor plate that fits into the rear sight slot is fine (It match's the curve of the slide, very stabile). I also have the MOS version, it's set up for C.Optics from the get go. . Consider the Vortex Venom w/6 MOA dot.  Use the 15% deal @ Jet.com and you will be at $200 for the dot. If your used to a 1911/2011, it takes a bit to get used to the grip angle change as the dot will generally be higher... Don't worry, you will get used to it.

  4. Do a little search.... The max. output for the civilian market has restrictions. This means you can't have one that has lot's of woopa.  You can't buy the one that burns holes in paper or plastic at 100 yards.. You want green not red. The ones with "click" adjustments are more use full for our needs. Buy the rechargeable batteries w/charger. The $20/$30 dollar ones can be found with the same output as the $200/$300 dollar ones....... That said, I've got the EBay versions ($20)......They co-witness with my red dot.... Funny, I can have both a green dot and a red dot at the same time.....

At a recent USPSA weekly match, several shooters pushed the "snow" fence barricade aside to gain an advantage to shoot at other targets. The view of the other targets was blocked by double stacked plastic barrels, however by pushing to the left, the normally hidden targets were exposed. There was a fault line that did extend past the barrels but not to the "snow" fence barricade. The shooters who did push the barricade saved a great deal of time. Their were no posted "course of fire rules", but the target positions pretty well forced you to use various ports, open spots, etc. Most interesting was most shooter's shot the course the way it was intended??. Was this just a "gamer" move?. The match personal let it stand and said next time they would use 2 double stacked barrels instead of one double stacked barrel. (Which would block the shooter's view of other targets). Think of this like a "L" and the barrels at the point and the snow fence on your left. Legal? Gamer move?....

  6. Should be fine.... That said, try Gunbroker, there are several FFL's that sell tops/bottoms. I usually pay $190/$200 for a new complete lower shipped to my local FFL (gen 3 or 4).

    Mike,

Since your mike NM account has 523 posts, and your mikeNM account only has 3 posts, I can "merge" the mikeNM account into the mike NM account, if you want. Then you'd just log into the mike NM account from then on out. Let me know...

That's fine with me.... I was at Rio when you shot your last big match with Robbie. Mike

  8. I, like others changed to 9mm major over 38 Super Comp as soon as 9mm major was "legal". NO regrets.... ONE thing I don't see is that if you go 9mm, you can always have the chamber reamed to 38 Super at a later date if 9mm isn't your game BUT you can't go the other way!. I shoot so much of my reloaded 9mm in other venues that 9mm made an EZ pick.... (Ever see a 38 Super PPC rifle?, probably the same for Carry optics & Production guns). Plenty of good powders available, CFE, Auto Comp, VV's, etc.  I don't use STI magazines. I can't remember ever buying any 9mm brass.......

  9. Hey, I'm 75 and shoot PPC, my knees are way  bad, I'm slow BUT I really like PPC. I just put a cheap (green not red) laser in conjunction with the normal red dot on one PPC gun might help for those low port shots?,. or the left handed shots. We will see.

You don't have to spend BIG money on a laser.... ($21.00 each x 2 = free shipping, Amazon, WAY bright even in the Arizona sun) The government puts restrictions on how powerful a laser unit can be for civilian use, so the hoopla over the big $$$$$ laser's  can/is be misleading. One thing, get the rechargeable batteries and a charger (EBAY or the like). Get the high capacity batteries as the laser's use a lot of juice.
