I'm looking to start reloading and I've heard lead can be cheap. Can I shoot lead out of a sig p226, and will it meet the IDPA SSP rating of 125,000 and still be accurate??
I've just been able to start practicing for my first competition. At whats the max distances at Idpa/ Uspsa competitions?
P.S.
Thanks for all your help so far!
I've also read I need 5 mags for USPSA. Can I get away with just using only 4? How often would I swap mags in a normal run? From videos I've seen of USPSA production runs only 3 mags are used.
I know that IDPA only allows 4 mags total 1 in the gun, two on the belt, and one in a pocket. The mags can only be loaded with 10 rounds. Is this correct? What are the USPSA rules? I believe I will be shooting production class when I start sometime in June.
I dont think blade tech makes a holster for the P226. Is the uncle mikes paddle holster legal? Whats a good decently priced legal holster??
I'm going to a gun show this weekend to pick a holster up. Could you tell me what makes this illegal?
I'm thinking of getting an uncle mikes mag pouch and holster. All I have are net pics of them for now and i'm not sure if they are legal. Could you guys take a look? Can I see some examples of the stuff that you use?? I'm looking for it to be on the inexpensive side (under $70 for holster and enough pouches to fit 4 mags)

Whats better for competition a tactical thigh holster of a conventional waist one? Or is it one of these personal preference things? Same goes with mag holders. Whats a good style?
Well I may start a vicous debate over it, but whats the best gun to use for practical shooting? My dad has a few pistols that he will let me use.
Glock 19
Colt gold cup (70 series I believe)
beretta 92fs
Sig p220 and p226
I've shot them all and they all shoot great. Really I can't decide between the last 4. I'm really not crazy about the Glock. What do you reccomend?
Hello,
I'm 19 and really new to handgun shooting. I'm looking to learn practical/ defensive pistol, and I'm wondering if someone would be willing to show me the ropes (pistol shooting in general). I'm in shamokin,PA and I'll be willing to drive to your local range. I'll even buy lunch.
Hello,
Looking to get my feet wet in practical shooting, and I'd like to use my AR-15. The guys at AR15.com said I should post here. I've heard of a place in pittsburg that has practical rifle. Does any place else in PA have practical rifle??
