Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the thoughts so far. Interested to read comments regarding carry guns with or without backup three-dot sights.
  2. Thanks Eric. I did not know that. I thought I had read that iron sights allowed one to more quickly have an idea of when the pistol was somewhat on target, so that one could find the dot in the sight.
  3. Hi all. I have an old 9mm STI Trojan on which I would like to put a red dot sight. I am convinced that a red dot with three-dot sights is faster than a red dot without any backup sights. Am I correct in this? If so, it raises a question for me. When I look at the guys with the C-more sights on their 1911s, they seem to be faster than the three-dot guys. Yet none of those guys with the frame-mounted C-mores I see have three-dot sights. Am I missing something? It seems to be counter to what I expect. Just trying to learn before I decide what I might do to my gun. Thanks for your thoughts.
