Is it just me, or does it look like Remington (formerly Para) is improving their quality with the newly released Tomasie 2011 model, and STI is lowering their quality with the STI Hawk?
I once owned a Para 16-40 and was not impressed. I've owned two STI Edges for some years that I'm very impressed with. But it looks like Remington is really stepping up their game with the Tomasie model and STI lowering theirs with the Hawk. Just based on pics I've looked at, it looks like the Hawk went cheap in area's such as only a couple slide serrations, hammer, fixed rear sight, no magwell, no bull barrel, etc. Kind of reminds me of the 2011 version of the "Spartan."
It’s you.
The Spartan was a Filipino gun...cast frame and maybe cast slide. The Para is nothing but a rebranded Para...not seeing the increase in quality there. Simplifying manufacturing doesn’t mean reduction in quality.

What kind of accuracy have you gotten out of your X5?

Looking forward to this match as Texas Multigun is out going forward after the shenanigans last year. Thanks for the hotel listing too. Very helpful.
Thanks John for the goodwill and kind words, for the record, we are NOT "out going forward".

We tried to do our best and I think we had a good match albeit with some hiccups. We'll try to manage schedules and logistics along with communication better next time. 70+ FFL items on the prize table...that was a sight to see. I'd like to thank everyone that made the match possible, STI and all our vendors were extremely generous. Thank you competitors, hope you had a fun match.
While this is a forum, I really wish we could have heard this at the match. Chad you know me, you could have said something about it at the match.

Hi everyone, we are steadfastly working on getting registration up and running on our site, we have experienced some server issues but we should have everything up and running by Wednesday at the latest. It's going to be a great match, apologies for the inconvenience. Hope to see you in April!

Anyone know of a holster in production yet?

If you shoot an STI product and wear apparel that meets STI's logo requirements you may be entitled to STI products. Read more here however we are working on finalizing details for this match as it generally applies to USPSA Divisional Class Winners...more on that later.

Sorry guys, no Open Division Helicopters will be allowed at this match. There will be much more technical stuff involved this year. Max times will be about 120 seconds. No memory stages or anything like, straight up shooting is what we're planning.
Monday whe should be online ready for registration, signup, print your application and mail it in with a check or money order.

Just a note, the rules will be very similar to IMGA. They'll be out shortly,Jim is working on the match alongside predeployment training for soldiers going into harms way.

Not sure what their plans are, this thread is about the SureFire Texas Multigun Championship, I'd like to keep the thread on topic please, thanks.

More details to follow in our official press release. It's going to be an awesome match...Vietnam Heavy and Vietnam Light are two new divisions. Time to dust off your iron sighted 20in AR or M1A...

Another vote for the KKM barrel. Have one for my G40. With factory ammo it was super light recoiling and super accurate.
