I’ll follow up to my own post. To say I’m happy with the high speed case feeder is an understatement. I ran a bunch of processed brass (de capped and tumbled) through it to roll size and I had to hit the reverse button twice, both times the issue (whatever it was) was addressed. I like it so much I sold the original (Hornady) which came with my Evo and moved to the 750 processing press on flee bay and I buying a second high speed.
Is it quieter than the crappy Hornady one?

Anyone know if a Czechmate 2 was a topic at SHOT show this week?

I’m interested in this recipe! Doing some load testing before the season kicks off!

Damn... this was one of the main reasons I got rid of my Czechmate... I was so annoyed by the mags.
I'll have to keep my eye open for another, or see what the new Czechmate 2 has.

One of the upgrades needs to be functional big sticks out of the box too!
It was a hassle to get my big stick running, and now it's barely running but the MBX mag I got ran perfectly right out of the box.
This Xs a million!

Has anyone run large primers on the primer Xpress? Success? Do all brands work the same?

Yet another thumbs up for Mr Gram. He not only solved my nosediving problems with his adjustment on my mags, he was also patient enough to answer my questions on mag maintenance , bullet profile and cartridge length. Great guy, though very busy.
What's the best way to get a hold of him? I tried for a while (2 years ago) and nothing.

Just curious if you got your dot bounce figured out? What OAL are you loading to?
I have a pretty good recipe for the Czechmate with Accurate No 7... PM me if you are interested.

I ran the CZC multi mount with an SRO and really like that set up.
-
Did you get it figured out?

I've got a lefty i'll sell. PM me if interested.
BTW, lefties use the right side of the brain

I've done a lot of 300 blackout subs (200-220gr bullets)... and they get a bit wobbly if loading too fast. Good thing you can slow it down, which slows the wobble down.
I have never had an issue with large primers, but I'm using the old school primer stack and shuttle on my evo-autodive.
Need to be realistic and not expect to load at 2000+ RPH.

Get a hold of Wayna at MA... he's usually quick to respond via email.

what press are you running? I have an evo pro and the mark 7 9 MM shellplates don't even allow an insertion of a .380 to the press
Same. I really like that it won't even insert a .380.

The obvious down side is that you have a fully functional system now, and when you order an EVo or Apex, you will be starting over with a new press. All these presses are temperamental and it will take several thousands of rounds for you to learn the quirks and nuances of these presses.
Don't under-estimate the frustration protential regarding this.
I started with a 550b, then bought a super1050 that I used manually for 150k rounds or so, then added a Mark 7, then pivoted that autodrive onto an EVO. And sold the 1050 to a range acquaintance. The Evo took months to troubleshoot and fine tune. all kinds of annoying little problems that eventually all smoothed away, but i STILL would not do it all over again. I would have just kept my 1050 Mark7 autodrive if I had to go back and do it again. Took too much time to figure out.
This APEX is a new press, really, so don't assume it'll be flawless out of the box. They never are.
Well said!

LOL, me too.
I zero at 25 yards... as good as I can.

How well do Labradars work at an indoor range?
-
How much do you need to trim off each case? Worst case
I would be a bit skeptical that you are going to get some brass shavings in the case... probably not the end of the world though.
Might want to add a Lyman M-die after the trimming to pre-flare the brass.

some of the 223/5.56 brass out there has flash holes so far off center (perfecta), decapping pins dont stand a chance.
I've noticed this as well... my mighty armory decapper with make some weird noises, but still blasts through it.

Before ordering, I await user feedback. In this system there are many plastic parts
I trust M7 has done their homework. I ordered one and will give you some feedback once it arrives. I can't wait to try it on large primers.
I also don't reload for a living, so if it's down for a bit.... it's not the end of the world for me.
-
Hmmm, intersting. I will have to get one on order.
I hate loading large primers, hopefully this system works well.

You could shoot them, if you happen to have the proper caliber firearm.

Is a hammer the only solution for coated bullets?
CZ Czechmate set-up. Thoughts?

That load is a bit hotter than what I shot, and I thought mine was flat shooting. 9.8 gr AA7, 1.165”, 11 lb spring, with the Berry hollow base round nose (thick plate) 115gr.
