Keep in mind there are also a lot of people running other triggers that may not be specifically for the mpx with varying degrees of success or failure. Hyperfires I see a lot, I run Timney Calvin's in MPXs. There are also a few PCC triggers not specified as MPX triggers that "should" be ok, that gold Timney falls in that category. I have the black and gold timney they are identical besides probably some spring and factory preset adjustment differences.
Let me know how long that Calvin holds up. Mine gave up after about 2k rds but it has been my fav thus far.

.10/.11 splits?!? Why.....that's unheard of! ;-)

Hell! I think I've been shooting this shotty in major 3-gun matches for 7+ years. It would have been nice to have that dip in the vent rib for a flip up rear slug sight like the Benelli's have.

Go with the 17". You won't regret it.

Someone please clarify dates of match please. I'm hearing conflicting stories.

Yes the Firebird couplers work with the Arredondo magwell.
I have been running the Firebird couplers and Pmags for the last three seasons and have not had a round walk on the exposed mag. I have had rounds walk on milspec mags however.
As a matter of fact, not only will the Firebird coupler work with the Arredondo mag well but I also add one Arredondo coupler to the mix for added stability. Solid and they never come out of alignment.

Is the prize table done in order of finish?
It wasn't last year, Mike. It was all random draw but maybe this year Gary will mix it up a bit and have dedicated prizes for top finishers AND random draw. Kinda like what Dave does at the carbine matches. We'll see.

Sounds like a great match. I have to ask though, how do you get 500 people through in three days when other matches seem to barely get 200 or so through in the same time? For the record, I've only been to a couple "big" matches.
It's ROCK CASTLE
This place has got to be huge.
And finally somebody on my end of the country running a major match using IMG scoring. Thank you Thank you Thank you! We're going to put the "run" back into "run and gun"!

I'm sorry. Did I read that app. right? $295 before Feb. 15th and $325 after.....? Well.......I thought I was actually going to try and shoot this match this year but for $300?!? Does that include my own personal reset and pasting fairy?!? If not my wife said she would rather me spend that money on crack and hookers!

Great match. KurtM has won another convert to Irons. Just have to remember to have the right aperture up for the stage. Thanks to all the ROs and staff that make this happen. Especially the Stage 5 crew: Stephan, Luke, Dement, McPhail, Grover, Grant, Trickett, TT and our rotating group of Rangers. You all were a pleasure to work with and totally professional at all times.
GB
+1
What an awesome crew. Not only is this a great match to shoot but it's a crew like this that makes it a pleasure to work. Just the honor of being able to interact with our nations finest under these circumstances has always been the highlight for me. Thank you for all you do. I so look forward to working this match again next year.

Not even close to a true 1x. Not daytime illuminated. Nice reticle though.

Not gettin' it cut at the match.....not gonna happen. (not around you buncha homos anyway) But if by some MIRACLE I do have to cut it, I promise there will be plenty of video evidence to show I kept to my word. Not to mention I'll see most of you by the time Ft Benning comes around. Besides, I'll have to do it somewhere that accepts donations for 'Locks of Love'.
So what are ya up to now, Sam? 4-5?

Alrighty, practice at Frank's place
Bout time you got out of the house, J C!

High number of HM shooters? What's that look like, 5 -6?
-
I'd love to visit Mississippi w/ my M1A, but I got married the wrong time of the year. That's my 10 year anniversary weekend, and for some reason my wife would rather spend it in Vegas than MS.... What's wrong w/ her????
That will be a sight to see if you get 20 HM shooters. Can someone get me a picture of all the HM shooters w/ their rifles?
Hell Bryan! If they get more than 10 I'll cut my hair!
-
I've been told it's all shot.

And..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Yes, we are going by FT. Benning/Horner scoring
Hop
Dang, Sam. You could have waited until after this weekend. I was workin on a helluva pitch for IMGA scoring instead of IDPA...ooops, I mean Horner scoring.

whats the round count?
From an earlier update "there will be 81 paper targets and 23 steel" and something about doing math. A later update suggested bringing between 200 and 250 rounds.HTH
How many of that is pistol and how much of that is rifle?
Pistol!?!?

Hair, you have hair????? you should shoot this match Stefan, FB3DQ needs someone to help take the heat off of him.
will you make pan am?
Trapr
I do have a few strands. You should check out the pic in the Kentucky Multigun thread.
Pan Am? With my lowly SG skills?? I don't think so. I have multiple mouths to feed and really have to be careful in choosing the matches I attend anyway. I think this one is just way to close to me to pass up though.
-
stefan if it was me, i'd do exactly what you didn't want, and I just got off the phone with Sam!!!!!!
trapr
Ah yes, Trapr. I knew we had that "love-hate" relationship going. It's the hair, isn't it?
-
It seems like last year they used the FB3G rules. It'll be worth shooting whichever rules they use.
That's true. Maybe I'll see Sam this weekend and can nudge him in the right direction as far as the scoring rules are concerned.
-
IMGA! IMGA! IMGA!
-
Nicely said Trapr. Or maybe not so nicely said but needing to be said none the less.
Now, if you would name names we can all show our distaste with our wallets.
-
Stefan, now you have forced my hand. I will have to show the pic of you from the Star Wars Convention.
I was wondering when that one was going to surface. You should see the ones from the 'Cousin It' Look-a-Like contest.
Jard PCC trigger experiences
in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Posted · Edited by Stefan
Been using Jards (and others) in AR's for about 14 yrs. Been running a 2lb. in my MPX for about a month. They are the most finicky I've ever used but also one of my favs when adjusted properly. 4 points of adjustment. If you can figure it out, you'll like it too.
I allowed for a little more reset in the PCC and it cured any hammer follow I had.
