  1. Yeah, I’d prefer to not worry about the grip slip and just go with a more permanent solution.
  2. Sage advice, sir. Much appreciated. Nothing to it but to do it. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
  3. Guess it’s time to Black Friday a dremel and some more PMAGs to practice on...
  4. That is relieving to hear. I was worried I’d have to sand it off and reapply every couple of years. Thank you for the advice!
  5. I must admit that I’m relieved to see such a consensus on this topic. I guess worth case, if I screw it up I can always order a new frame. I guess I’ll order some 60 grit and get some JB Weld. How much thicker do your grips feel?
  6. thank you! How long does the SC hold up and is it possible to “refresh” it?
  7. I’m looking at adding some grip to my G34 and am considering my options. I currently have a Talon grip but am looking at something more permanent. Does the silicon carbide grip better than a good stipple? Will silicon carbide hold up as well as a good stipple job? Would love to hear from anybody that has used both, but extensive use either way would be beneficial. I live in the South where it is hot and humid and will be using this gun for 3 Gun, Run N Gun, and maybe some USPSA Carry Optics. Thank you for your help!
  8. So I currently run a Vortex Razor HD Gen II E as my primary optic on my competition AR. I’m looking at adding an offset sight to complement the LPVO. My options are go with a Burris FF 3 or drop an additional $300 and get an RM06 Type 2. Will I regret not going with the market standard in the RMR? I don’t mind spending the money for the better quality if it’s going to make a difference, but if the FF 3 will do me just as well I assume save the money for something else (ammo/training). Any personal experiences would be great! Thank you for your time.
  9. That would make sense. Don’t know why I didn’t just ask them in the first place.
  10. I like the carbon extension too. I’m currently running a Nordic Components one. I wonder if I could run one of those weird “clip on” fiber sights on the extension? Or maybe I’ll just do what the other user said and add some high visibility paint.
  11. I really like this idea. How much did the fiber placement run you? Thank you for sharing
  12. I really appreciate your expertise, thank you for taking the time to reply! It’s been driving me crazy.
  13. It is the Dawson adjustable. It says Dawson on one side, and PI on the other (If it makes a difference). So you think .300 x .110?
  14. Is there a standard front sight height/width that I should be looking at for my G34 Gen4? I currently have the Dawson fiber optic front, but happened to smack the sight so hard on something that I broke off fiber holder and would like to replace it with the same sight. The gun will be used for USPSA/Run N Gun events, if that makes a difference, and currently has an adjustable rear sight. Thank you for your help, sorry for the noob question.
  15. Okay, those are REALLY cool. I only wish they had a screw in point for a fiber optic sight. If I run out of other things to blame my crappy shooting on, these might be the ticket. Thank you!
  16. It does accept chokes, so that is a relief that that is the common response. I thought about the bump to open from Tac ops, but since I’m so new I don’t think I’ll be competitive at either level so I wasn’t too worried about it. I think mine is setup 9+1 right now. I have a Nordic extension on it. Since it doesn’t seem like a big deal I’ll leave the RMR in my safe. Thanks!
  17. It is a model with a choked barrel. That is good to know and a huge relief! I also changed the spring pack in in to TTI, had Hawkeye Ordnance mill the loading port, changed to an accuguide lifter, added a tube extension, and added an oversized TTI bolt release and safety. Guess now I just need to sign up for an event. I appreciate the response!
  18. First, I’m very new to the world of 3 Gun. So new, that the first thing I did when I realized it intrigued me was go out and buy a Benelli M2... tactical. After reading some more, I realized that a vent rib model would be preferable for the sport. Will using an 18.5” pistol sight barrel hurt me as a newcomer to the sport from an accuracy/distance perspective? Could I minimize sighting advantages of the vent rib by mounting an RMR on top of it? Most of what I’ve read says that 21” vent rib is the ticket, which doesn’t seem like a ton of difference. I already bought a standard stock to replace the pistol grip which should open up my quad loading. Thank you for your help!
