  1. I have never cleaned the barrels of any of my guns. I read somewhere that if you use powder coated bullets, you want to run FMJ every once in a while to clear it out but other than that, no cleaning. I do however still clean the feed ramp, around the chamber, and the compensator every once in a while.

Just an FYI Shooters World Major Pistol and Accurate #7 are the exact same powder with different brands on the outside of the jugs. Those two powders are good for the minimal case volume in 9 major but there are better options out there when using 38SC and its increased case volume.

Is there any benefit to Major Pistol taking up more space in the case vs HS-6? I run 8.9gn HS-6 and the case is barely half full but I'm hitting 173PF.

  3. I've been through this before. Tried contacting whoever it was at Bullet Works and got no response. SVI makes a grip thats cut for a right side mag release for the same price as a new PT grip. Beyond that, there's not much. Ended up switching to CZ and everything is ambi so I got all I need now.

$35 isn’t a cost restriction, I was just commenting that a $35 experiment might be worth it.

I don’t have any issues with the right side safety, I’m right handed so the only time I use the right side safety is WHO stages.

Is this the Shadow 2 safety you are talking about? https://cajungunworks.com/product/50012-safety-set-shadow-2-extended-left-side/

Yeah, that link you provided is the safety I'm talking about.

I am a pretty crappy welder, but at $35 for a spare safety, I might give this option a try...

I didn't previously see your cost restriction. IMO, the shadow 2 safety is expensive but very worth it. A cheaper option is to grind down the safety on the support hand side. I did that before I purchased the new safety.

  6. Does anyone know where I could find a spare Czechmate frame? I want to sand mine down and put silicon carbide on it but want to make sure there's a spare somewhere out there in case I mess everything up. I'm fine with having to put a little work into it. I did some Googling and checked CZ-Usa's website and didn't find anything.

  7. Thanks, i like hwo it adjusts and its a bit more aggressive. For the installation for some reason i was assuming i needed to mill the surface flat but it looks like it can be done with a drill press and taps, did you do anything else to get it to fit (other then measure lol)

Didn’t do anything special to fit it. Just used the drill press. Make sure the holes are straight (I think one of mine is crooked lol). I believe the hole on the left side closest to the muzzle goes all the way through the frame. I used that as a guide for the first hole. Good luck!

I do not, not currently running a red dot as it will be a limited gun for now.

Do you happen to have a photo of the Fire4effect installed?

I wish I had the equipment, if I had the room if own a lathe and a other large tools. For now I have a Dremel and a drill press which I would not use to try this lol.

  9. I attempted the same thing. Do you have an evil hand thumb rest to test out? I found it was a little too big for the gun (no room between the thumb rest and dot mount) and opted for the Fire4Effect thumb rest. Don’t know how much the milling would be as I did it myself.

  10. Hi all,

I'm trying to find out whoever made this compensator. I've searched everywhere with no luck. Someone at my local club told me that it may be from someone here on enos. I have some questions about fitting the comp on the barrel. When I purchased the gun (used) the compensator was loose on the barrel as opposed to the factory comp which fits onto the barrel tight. I've tried tightening the comp down all the way but if I do, it no longer lines up with the guide rod and I can no longer assemble the gun. Thanks in advance :)
