  1. I recently bought a strike Industries strike switch and it is definitely not compatible with  the hiperfire trigger in my Sig MPX. Does anyone know if the Radian Talon ambi will work with this setup? I know alot of 90 degree throws work but I would definitely prefer a 45 or 60 degree if possible.

I had the Radian on my blowback pcc using a Hiperfire 24-3g and a 24c trigger. never had any issues.

I am shooting a SIG Mpx now with a 90 degree ambi safety.

the reason I went to a 45 degree safety was that coming off the belt, several times I had not fully gotten the safety to the fire position. Once I changed over that went away.

So far, on the MPX I have only had it happen 2x. In USPSA, that time lost re-engaging the safety can be the difference between a top 10 finish or not.

I will most likely be moving over to the radian on my MPX as soon as I can get more cash together.

Does the talon work on the mpx with a hiperfire eclipse? I bought a strike industries and it won't install and function at all.

Good luck seeing a laser at 100 yards with anything you'll put on a PCC.  I live in Florida and I can see my laser up to 40 yards on bright sunny days.

Which laser is it? I can't see mine at all in bright daylight.

Hey guys, so I am a product manager at LaserMax, might be able to provide some input here.

Like what was said up above, 5mW is the cut off that the FDA puts on commercially sold lasers. This is the threshold that they consider "eye safe". Basically it is not enough energy that it can do damage within the time your eye naturally takes to blink.

Green lasers will be your best bet, the human eye sees the color green better than other colors in the light spectrum, so all things being equal the green will be much more visible than red.

Some of those laser pointers you see advertised a great amount over the maximum output the FDA seem to be snuck past customs or something like that, because the FDA really does tightly regulate lasers.

One of the real issues with those is, they aren't just putting off visible energy that can damage your eyes, but IR energy that can damage your eyes, which you can't see. So you literally could and probably are dosing yourself without ever knowing it.

A healthy fear of direct energy isn't a bad thing. Here's an article that goes into some of the dangers of lasers, if you're interested:

So would there be any difference between your green laser and the Holosun? I tried my Holosun for the first time this week in bright daylight. It took me forever to line the laser up on the starting popper but eventually worked out. I thought these would be much more visible 15 yards and in in daylight.

My favorite load for PCC (16" barrel with Miculek style comp) has been 147 gr Xtreme RN plated bullets over 3.0 gr VV N320 ( 132 PF).   Last week I was doing a little experimenting and found that the same bullet over 3.7 gr N320 with 145 PF had far less dot movement.  Totally unexpected

Headed to the range in the morning to test some loads with 3.3 gr N320.

Did you get this figured out? I was talking to a PCC GM this week and he said 4.0 of N320 with a 135 jhp makes 138 to 142 pf and is the softest shooting most accurate load for an MPX specifically. Do you think 4.0 is too high?

I’ve got earlier Gen 2 MPXs and have had some issues with FTEs. Things I’ve done to try to fix it...new extractor, frequently changing the extractor spring and insert, stronger mag springs and finally bumping my load to about 140 PF. The little donut under the extractor of later gen 2 MPXs also helps. Be sure to kEep the gas system clean and run it dry.

If I had to point to one thing that seems to have had the most benefit it would be increasing the powder charge in my load.

I clean my gas system every 500 rds and own the PCC model. I currently run BB 135 gr at 1.130 with 3.3 gr of TG. Have you heard anything about In Lead We Trusts custom extractor? My mag springs are all new and I dont keep them loaded at any time except the match every week for a few hours. I've got Berry State Championship this weekend and cant afford any problems. Do you think if I get a spring it should tide me over for the match at least?

  7. I have had an MPX PCC for about 3 months and I had 3 stages this weekend with FTE issues and 1 each match the 2 matches prior to this one. Does anyone have a fix for this or is it common after about 4k rds to change out the springs or buy a new extractor?

  8. I just purchased the new sig sauer mpx pcc model which has a full 16" barrel and has a 13.5x1 left hand thread pitch. Does anyone out there know of any good comps that will fit this? I'm having trouble getting a straight answer from anyone for this model.
