  1. Hornady's factory ammo scares me. I bought a box of Frontier stuff (which is supposedly LC-made) and had a primer blow out and re-seat itself backwards in the case. Found it after cleaning it in a wet tumbler. The primer had a pretty little primer strike right on the cup; visible through the flash hole.

Not sure I'm gonna use the stuff anymore haha. Glad you didn't have a kaboom like so many others.

CZ Custom shop milled my Shadow 2 slided and lightened it for CO weight.

it's been awesome they did a great job. Their RDS plate system has been  a godsend , I started with

a Shield/Jpoint mini sight, went to a Vortex Venom and now have a Trijicon SRO on there.

think about your optics choice before making a decision.

Thanks, man. I'm choosing the RMR cause it's the most durable. Reliability first... Even though I really want that SRO...

I figure if I have a tank of a gun I should put a tank of an optic on her. :)

  3. For some pretty strenuous Arizona mountain trail running I run Inov8 Roclite 325. The GTX model has waterproof GoreTex, which is also my favorite waterproofing stuff!

They're the best shoes I've ever worn for pretty much everything! I also rock some Altra Lone Peaks, and they're great too but they don't last as long. Very steady though! I haven't done any matches but if you see the crap I run, it's clear that these shoes will rock for shooting!

  4. ProfessorAtlas has a thread on CZ SP01 polishing on here which I followed and now have a super smooth gun! Polishing just works really well for a lot of things.

I'll definitely take a look at the car wax and wash stuff, but I have this Lucas slick spray on wax that seems like it would work amazing for this. :)

Huh, the waterspots I used to get don't rub off... Maybe it's the soap?

  5. I do the wet tumbling with the pins, and the cases definitely do stick. It's more like a snappy kind of stick where it breaks free with some pressure but it's still not ideal. I'm confident that with lube it wont stick much at all, but I think polishing would be a good idea. It works on guns doesn't it!? :)

(Note: I was simply testing the load with unlubed cases, and I started with the powder station so it didn't have to go through sizing first.)

  6. I use the Dillon 650 cover. Nothing like a big blue bag of Dillon goodness!  Only problem is that it stands out and I don't really want neighbors seeing it. If you're worried about size just run it through Dillon. Their website has a chat box that has people ready to respond during work hours. They're always helpful. I was down at the shop the other day when I bought the cover and the clerk guy said the 650 cover would work with the casefeeder too.

  7. Hey guys, my brand new swager doesn't work! I tried both the large and small swaging rods and of course the 30 cal locator rod, but the Lake City .308 once-fired sparkly clean military brass doesn't have its primer pocket reamed at all! The ridge is still there and primers do not seat after multiple swagings with both rods.

The rod is going the full stroke, it is properly adjusted and so is the little spacer block. It is also set screwed in place and adjusted for the lake city stuff. What's the deal?! I've looked everywhere, and posting here is my last resort. What idiot oversight am I making? Thanks guys.
