  1. Hornady's factory ammo scares me. I bought a box of Frontier stuff (which is supposedly LC-made) and had a primer blow out and re-seat itself backwards in the case. Found it after cleaning it in a wet tumbler. The primer had a pretty little primer strike right on the cup; visible through the flash hole. Not sure I'm gonna use the stuff anymore haha. Glad you didn't have a kaboom like so many others.
  2. Hot dang, what options did you choose? Same gun, same optic. Is that the Trijicon adapter plate with the suppressor sight?
  3. Thank you. CGW sure is awesome, they were my first choice until I found Primary Machine. I Cajunized the SP-01 myself like a week after I got it. Smooth as ex-lax!
  4. Thanks, man. I'm choosing the RMR cause it's the most durable. Reliability first... Even though I really want that SRO... I figure if I have a tank of a gun I should put a tank of an optic on her.
  5. Haha, the general consensus around here seems to be Primary Machine, thanks guys. Have a good one.
  6. Getting my first slide milled for an RMR on my new SP-01. Where should I go? I'm going to put BUIS on it (in front of the RMR) because it's a home defense gun, I was thinking Primary Machine but I just want to know what y'all think. Thanks dudes.
  7. You guys are lucky... Here in Arizona its monsoon season. So its about 100-110 and humid. My press is in the garage. I must look like baking turkey when im reloading.. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  8. Enjoy!! Glad I could help. I'm also just getting started and it's nice to have so much info on even small stuff like covers! Have fun reloading! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  9. I have Inline Fabrication's roller handle! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  10. Here ya go, pictures from two angles! Pardon the mess! Fits over most of it, but doesn't zip down the whole way. I have the swing out double bullet tray thing from inline and that doesn't make it under the cover. This is just the standard 650 cover with the auto casefeeder. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  11. Oh yeah, my .308 cases on a brand new 650 also get stuck at the conversion kit adapter piece on the casefeeder. They don't get pulled far enough to fall down to the shellplate level properly. Any fix for this? Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  12. Boots seem like they'd be more ideal than shoes, if/when I can get my lazy butt to a match I think I might try some boots! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah it fits just fine even over the bottom of the ram arms! A little snug but it does cover the whole thing except for some of the ultramount [emoji3] I'll get a picture of it all the way on tomorrow for you! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  14. For some pretty strenuous Arizona mountain trail running I run Inov8 Roclite 325. The GTX model has waterproof GoreTex, which is also my favorite waterproofing stuff! They're the best shoes I've ever worn for pretty much everything! I also rock some Altra Lone Peaks, and they're great too but they don't last as long. Very steady though! I haven't done any matches but if you see the crap I run, it's clear that these shoes will rock for shooting!
  15. ProfessorAtlas has a thread on CZ SP01 polishing on here which I followed and now have a super smooth gun! Polishing just works really well for a lot of things. I'll definitely take a look at the car wax and wash stuff, but I have this Lucas slick spray on wax that seems like it would work amazing for this. Huh, the waterspots I used to get don't rub off... Maybe it's the soap?
  16. I do the wet tumbling with the pins, and the cases definitely do stick. It's more like a snappy kind of stick where it breaks free with some pressure but it's still not ideal. I'm confident that with lube it wont stick much at all, but I think polishing would be a good idea. It works on guns doesn't it!? (Note: I was simply testing the load with unlubed cases, and I started with the powder station so it didn't have to go through sizing first.)
  17. I love the Inline Fabrication skylight. Comes with a LED strip and a light that sits snugly in the middle of the toolhead. Sure is purdy...
  18. I use the Dillon 650 cover. Nothing like a big blue bag of Dillon goodness! Only problem is that it stands out and I don't really want neighbors seeing it. If you're worried about size just run it through Dillon. Their website has a chat box that has people ready to respond during work hours. They're always helpful. I was down at the shop the other day when I bought the cover and the clerk guy said the 650 cover would work with the casefeeder too.
  19. Thanks buddy, good news is that I'm just up the street from them. It'll get figured out somehow. God bless.
  20. Hey guys, my brand new swager doesn't work! I tried both the large and small swaging rods and of course the 30 cal locator rod, but the Lake City .308 once-fired sparkly clean military brass doesn't have its primer pocket reamed at all! The ridge is still there and primers do not seat after multiple swagings with both rods. The rod is going the full stroke, it is properly adjusted and so is the little spacer block. It is also set screwed in place and adjusted for the lake city stuff. What's the deal?! I've looked everywhere, and posting here is my last resort. What idiot oversight am I making? Thanks guys.
