Based on the description, looks like a nice offspring between a 1911 a 75 Series CZ.

I wonder how much will be the actual street price.

Not sure, maybe itll bring down TSO prices a little. Not something I'd want to buy until all the kinks have been worked out though.

I received my Rudy Project Magsters back with the Hunters Lenses.  These are non prescription, just using the Magster frames.   Not inexpensive.  I won't post what I paid, because I believe they're done on a case by case, but I will say it was less than if I bought a pair of their glasses.  They look great and seem excellent.  I just got them yesterday so I haven't worn them in a match yet.  This weekend will be the test.

The short flat Is the same contact point (convex) as medium curved sti if that helps any. The medium would be a further reach.

Once the trigger bow is fit, they just twist on and off though.

Looks like you could start with a short flat and that will have some adjustability with the threaded shaft the trigger shoe mounts to. It is a pretty nice system to custom fit it to your hand. I started with the short flat shoe and ended up with the medium flat.

I would have to remove the trigger bow to adjust the trigger shoe though, right?

  4. I have an x line short flat and medium flat that I want to install, but I'm not sure which I should go with. I have pretty short hands, and I'm wondering if anyone with experience can help me out. Heres a somewhat crude measurement of my trigger finger. I know you can adjust length to a degree, but I dont want to get the wrong one installed. I'm not at a point to where I'm comfortable doing my own work to my gun, so I'm having a Smith install the trigger bow.

I've been at it now for a few years and I found Steve Anderson's advice (and one of our local GMs said the same thing to me) worked really well.

"Don't think slow down to get your hits. Shoot what you see!"

Slow is not "smooth" it's slow and the sport is about points per second. But, think fast and we begin to disregard the targets and drop points and that's as bad as slow and smooth with a bunch of As.

If you think "speed" that's what you will get, so if you shoot what you see the "speed" works itself out.

Close targets end up being fast (no double taps) and the further and more difficult ones get a whole lot more solid As and close Cs.

My match rankings have substantially improved since I took their advice.

One thing else Steve Anderson and others have told me, we have to be able to hit the targets which is why shooting faster than I can "see" the sights and the target means I'm just throwing "hopers" (I hope I hit something) at brown.

    Good luck and have fun!

Thanks, I will try to keep this in mind. It seems that no matter what I tell myself, whenever I hear that beep it all goes out the window lol.

I did the same thing and mine doesn't have a button.  I believe it is 4-40 and I want to order a button with my next order so will wait for someone that knows for sure.

according to my google fu, the 4-40 is for STI/SVI, and the 5-40 is for 1911's. someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

  7. Looking to buy a dawson lo pro button for my pt evo, but i didn't know if the thread size was 4-40 or 5-40.

    thanks!

Edit: I might be dumb, I bought my gun used and it came with an evo grip and a threaded mag release. I have no idea what size the thread is.

I am in a different industry entirely now.

If you haven't seen it already, you might find the movie Deepwater Horizon interesting since you are a chem plant operator.

The same sort of leadership/management mentality that led to the Deepwater Horizon explosion and Chernobyl incident seems kinda widespread.  Sure...sure...the leadership talks a good game about "safety first", but at the end of the day, it is all about production and making their metrics look good.

Yes I can absolutely agree with the management mentality. It's like that everywhere. Safety is not first, usually.
