Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. So the width should be measurement d in my drawing correct. And the lug measurement should be E if I understand correctly. And I've been working on loads that's why I included the data. With multiple weights. The wilson is a 1:16 twist I believe which should have done better with the 124gn hp but still the factory glock barrel that is I believe a hair under 1:10 twist did better.
  2. I have not called them yet. Wanted some opinions before I dialed in.
  3. I took all external measurements cause the old timer pressed on the rear of the barrel while the slide was forward and he noticed a little downward play where the factory barrel was tight. How would you suggest I measure the inside of the barrel. And yes. Montana gold and blue bullets are sized to .355 according to the boxes. I think bayou are. 356
  4. So today I shot a steels match after shooting a gssf match yesterday. Had alot of accuracy issues to the point one of the club members asked to shoot off the bench. And hits were a good 3 inches apart at 10 yards. The loads tested were factory boxed american eagle 147gn fmjfp. And handloads 147gn blue bullets with 3.2gn titegroup. Also tested montana gold 124gn hp, 4gn titegroup Ae147gn chrono 913,914,908,891,918 Blue bullets chrono 872,872,878,875,878 Montana gold124hp 1079,1051,1006,1041,1038 Factory glock barrel had no issues. With all 3 loads through the wilson combat barrel the groups were bigger then the factory glock gen4 g19 One old time said maybe the barrel isn't sized properly and its loose. So I just measured dimensions that are pictured below. What's your thoughts. Cause I'm thinking about sending it back.
  5. The g19 has a rinky dink rail just in front of the sn plate. It only has one slice for I guess a small flashlight. Maybe I can buy the adapter for use with my magnetospeed sporter
  6. How did you use a magneto speed on your g17. My g19 has no tail to use the adapter and with the slide moving howd you strap it.
  7. Thanks mom. As I said and as I said earlier I have a chrono for my rifles but seeing as theres nowhere outside I can shoot I'm limited to indoor ranges. And they won't let you set up a chrono inside their lanes. So I am watching my group sizes and watching for pressure the same way I do running 26.8gn of cfe223 for my 55gnfmj rounds. So until I find a place to actually set up a chrono I was looking for data that's proven to be safe and reliable .
  8. Awesome thank you. I purchased a wilson barrel for the g19. Do you think those loads will run well since the wilson is designed with a 1:16 twist for lighter bullets.
  9. Ok so 4.4 should be safe then. Its awfully close to sierras max of 4.5gn. But that's why I'm questioning because 4 sources give 4 different loads.
  10. Good to know guys. Thank you. I was trying to attach a pic from my phone but it says the files too big. Any easy way to upload a photo from a phone. Photo is 3 mb.
  11. Figured guys a scam artist. I set up my account and literally a few minutes later theres a private message from that dude. Thank you admins for deleting and or blocking the message
  12. I know the short barrel is not ideal but it's my ccw and all I have at the moment.
  13. Hey guys just introducing myself. John from the hudson valley ny. Own a g19 gen 4. And several rifles. Reload as much as I can, and will be attending my first gssf match this saturday.
  14. Hey guys. Just a question. Reloading for 9mm and noticed on more then just a few rounds the brass was scorched on one side. Is this a reloading issue or a chamber issue. Firearm is a stock glock 19 gen 4, this particular reload was a 147gn xtp with 3.6gn of titegroup, federal 100 primers loaded to 1.125 brass used was geco. But have noticed the same issue with my federal brass.
