If you want to shoot IDPA and USPSA with a CZ, try the Shadow.  Shoot it in SSP (DA/SA) and ESP (Cocked & locked) in IDPA . Shoot it in Production (DA/SA) and Limited - Minor (Cocked & Locked) in USPSA.

As for the DA-SA transition . . . . it just takes some time and practice, and if you have done some work on your pistol (or had someone like CZ Custom or Cajun Gun Works do it for you), it's even easier to learn, as the DA pull is light, smooth, and reliable!

Thanks 45 Raven,  was thinking that model also.

No I have not. I have a 75 that I shot idpa with for about a year in esp.  never really played with a decocker cz.

Does the Shadow feel the same as your CZ 75?

I’m in the same boat. I would think the sp-01 shadow 9mm so you can shoot production and SSP. However me usually being a SAO guy my big issue is the double action trigger first pull

What do you think about the CZ Tactical that has a decocker?  That would let you start at half-cocked

P is still steel, USPSA lists the P at 42oz IIRC, don't remember the T, it's lighter, I think it's aluminum framed.

Your right the T is aluminum.  I have the P120. I put an aluminum magwell on it and it weighed 49 oz. with empty magazine.  ESP for IDPA is max 43oz. with empty mag.  I took off the magwell and will shoot it Production USPSA.  It’s on the Production list

Ha bills wife Joyce is the president so I don’t think so.    What was the exact  weight on your tristar?   Can some weight be removed to make it legal?

I think if I removed the slide, then I am there!! Hahaha.

Seriously, I am that far off.  Should have known when it came in and I picked it up that I didn’t have a chance.  Wishful thinking

The initial concept was that it would be a carry gun sport & that the heavier guns were not carry guns. Threw that out when Wilson started making pcc's.

Right now I think what is keeping the weight limits (and recent changes to ccp size) is sponsorship funds from Glock & etc.

    Excellent point!!
