What PCC are you shooting?
It was roughly a palmetto state armory with mbx comp and the blitzkrieg buffer system. I just put the MBX barrel on it with a carbon fiber rail for the new load I am running.

I shot thousands of 147gr bullets through my 16" barrel without any problems. The velocity will be higher on a 16" barrel.
Here's one of my favorite loads for comparison.
Bullet Brand Everglades Bullet Type Round Nose Bullet Weight 147gr Powder Name Titegroup Powder Weight 3.0gr Primer Federal COL 1.130-1.135 Average Chronograph Speed 973.9 Standard Deviation 52.48 Chronograph Speed Low/High 890 1033 Power Factor 143 Just curious, if you only need 125Pf maybe 130 PF to be safe, why do you run all the way up to 143?

Autocomp is a lot slower than titegroup. I prefer faster powders for PCC, to give a less felt recoil and dot bounce.
Ive never shot anything but titegroup but I think I was told to run slower burning powders with a comp... But I dont completely recall. Ive been trying different things to manage the recoil on the pcc so sounds like titegroup is the better choice.

So I have been shooting my PCC with titegroup pushing 147 gr projectiles. I will using a new 147gr fmj and bought a new barrel so I need to develop a new load. Just for record, I have the mbx barrel which is basically 13" before the pinned comp. I have titegroup like I have been running but I have winchester autocomp for my open gun and was wondering if I should try that? What are your thoughts titegroup or autocomp?? I hate to use it just yet because I have a lot of titegroup but I have some VihtaVuori N320 as well.

I run diffuser 85%, Light Mod 14% and improved mod.

35 yds - 0.9" high

Very nice to know. I set mine up at 15 yds. Shot a pcc match and had a plate rack out at 75 and killed everyone. no one knew there holds.

I run the ALS now for retention. Ive got it a little rigged up becuase I shoot a 6" STI and I wanted a better belt loop option.

This is an old post, but 3gun nation just kicked off the new year. I think they had a whopping 78ish shooters. Which is crazy because its one of the few warm places to shoot in February at a range that has some very high profile matches (mainly action pistol). It was at one of my local ranges and none of the local guys even shot it. Ive shot a local match with 70 shooters there. Very sad... that tells you where 3 gun nation is. My buddies and I will drive 18 hrs for a match but not 1 hr for that match.

Sorry Mike, you have worked on several of my Benellis for the record. Since Ive got you on here. You did something to my Benelli M2 to be bale to ghost load. What do I need to send to get the same for the Benelli M1?

Well thanks to all for helping me clear that up, I was just informed wrong at my local club on how things work.

It helps for sure, it's not magic or anything but it certainly makes it easier to remove if you have to scrape anything out. Like I said though, using the JHP Bullets with 3n38 there really isn't any noticeable lead in the comp so it's easy to keep clean.
What JHP are you using?

Yes that is the trigger I'm using. I have used it with a CMMG and taccom bolt.
cool, I have a timney and I think that is what I have. 10K is a lot of rds with no issues. I'm jealous of your trigger time.

Normally, my Nordic tube holds 10. I use a Nordic couple and additional 5 which gets me to 15 + 1 for open. For Tac Ops, I have 10 + 2. Tracking? What’s your question?
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkI'm trying to add rds to my gun and looking at the options and to see what people are doing. The Benelli comes with 3+1. I'm not trying to be difficult, but your answer doesnt specifically tell me what you have on your gun. Nordic doesnt sell a 10 rd tube to my knowledge. I'm assuming you have a nordic plus 7 coupled with a nordic plus 5?

Once you jump up in any division all other divisions you are classified in automatically go up to one level below it.
If you are D class in three divisions and you make it to B in another, those D’s become C’s. And so on and so forth.
Ahh, I think I was misinformed in the begining (at my local club)if I am following correctly. I was told those "D in 3 divisions" would only allow you to climb 1 classification in your new gun to a C. But you are saying the low classification doesnt hold that to a C?? You could in theory be D in 3 divisions and get GM in your 4th. All your D's go to Master?

Hi again Eric,
Old thread but thinking of tinkering with springs. Have been running the Blitzkrieg buffer in my GMR-13, with the .308 carbine spring, it feels pretty good. Curious if I could achieve even better results with a .223 spring? and if so which one?
I am running the blitzkrig as well. I like it. Im currently messing with loads and trying to lighten the rifle. I like a heavy 223 but I noticed with recoil being different with the 9mm, that is not a good idea like with 223.
What weight of bullet are you running?

I've ran quit a few JP original triggers over the years so I run one in my PCC because I heard it runs great. When I tuned it in it was light enough I was getting bumps so I tightened it up. But it runs great now. I do prefer Geiselle 3gun in my AR-15's though for 3 gun

Timney 3lb in mine. Had originally bought a Velocity but do to random full-auto fire and ruptured cases from firing out of battery that trigger is now in my AR-15 and working well.
You are running the Timney in the PCC with success?

So when you mag guys carry additional mags, what is that like running on a terrain course or even trying to get down in a rifle position. Do they carry pretty snug if you need to run?

This is good advice. I shoot a TN MKA 1919 that runs about 99% on Win. AA 1145 with a 24 round mag. I also shoot with Mike from DA and several of the guys locally have the DA Vepr shotguns. Great dependable shotguns. Also one of my shooting buddies has a Benelli open gun with a super long tube, I think it holds 14 at the start.
Here is my take. We all shoot at about the same speed. Small shotgun stages (9-15) rounds it doesn't really matter which gun you are running. Long jungle run stages with pauses in between targets where you can load you will keep up with the tube fed if you can load fast & move at the same time. Larger ( 20 plus) stages, unloaded starts, and stages with lots of shots close you will never beat the mag fed. You just can't load as fast or carry as much as we can.
Most slug shots are at the beginning or end so you plan with your mags when you load for the slugs. I never candy cane loads in my mags. Start with slugs or change the mag out. Too confusing.
We regularly have 30 plus stages between our steel matches and 3-gun jungle runs. So I would say it depends on what type of matches you shoot whether to go with a good tuned mag fed or tube fed shotgun.
gerritm
When you say up close, you mean no room to load on the move? or do you mean dot plus comp makes it faster?

My 15 round tube on my Benelli M2 can get front heavy is the only downside that I see. Plus, if I don't sling tube up, the tube will drag on the ground and I look like a little kid.
What do you have when you say 15 rd tube? I was looking at nordic +9=12 with plus 2. 1 in the chamber and 1 ghost load= 16. Ive never ran anything besides nordic.

If you go to GM in either Open or PCC your Limited will go to Master even if you don't shoot it again.
So your saying even if I have the limited B still thre, If I hit GM with PCC it will stay?
If I understand that correcly, it would move my limited to M??

Try a sonic jewelry cleaner (your wife will LOVE IT) and it gets most of it out with just water but I'm using 3n38 and JHP MG bullets.
Ive got a sonic cleaner set up. Your saying that take care of the lead in your comp? I use it on my limited barrels and my AR-15 BCG's. Dont have enough rds through my open gun yet to have enough lead.
Auto comp or titegroup for PCC??

So I bought the N320 to try in my limited gun for 3 gun but have never shot it due to a lot of titegroup. So I know nothing beside it should be cleaner and less smokey. So most of you agree it will recoil less than titegroup as well?
