What dremel tip did you use to deepen the detent? I have massive hands and have the same issue. I actually switched to a narrower safety with a deeper indent which helped, but I'd still appreciate knowing the dremel tip used. Thanks!

I got the finest tip one I could find at menards.  I took off very little at a time and checked it i till I got it to my liking.

  2. I was having the same problem and did exactly as rn suggested making the detent a little deeper a bit at a time.  It is a much more positive engagement and I haven’t been able to get the safety to re-engage by my support hand pushing it up. Going to the range tomorrow and I’ll report back with results.

  3. the only downside I see to using the Benelli vs a box fed gun is at a match that has high round count shotgun stages that exceed your mag capacity.  If you are just going to be shooting local matches you would be just fine using the Benelli.  If you look at major match results you will also see many tac-ops guys who quad load beating alot of the mag fed shotgun guys too.  Use what you have a get proficient at quad loading.

Thanks for the reply.  Do you reload or do you shoot factory ammo?

I have shot both out if it.  I got the 1-7 twist 18” tac barrel turned down to .750 under the handguard. I am working up a load of 77gr smk for long range 3 gun.  I also use fenix 55gr for burner bay ammo.  I shot the missouri 3 gun match last weekend and it ran great.

  5. I just received my CLE barrel a month ago and have not had a single ftf or other issue.  I cant say its any more accurate than any wylde chamber Ive had but I am really liking the barrel so far.

  6. I received mine earlier this year and shoot exclusively 3 gun.  I’m always switching back and forth between the 9mm limited and single port open depending on the match I’m shooting.  For the price you pay you can’t beat the set up and versatility you get.

  7. FWIW I have been researching new barrels for 3 gun the last few weeks and it seems that nearly every search, JP was mentioned and recommended.  Not just in this forum but several others that are dedicated rifle forums.   I don’t think I read any negative posts about fit, finish, or accuracy.  I ended up with the JP 18” light contour rifle length gas.

How is this discount working?  I'm not seeing anything about it on the website.

The prices shown already reflect the discounts.  No discount codes needed. It’s already plugged into the build sheet.  You select

the 2 extra barrels you want and there is no extra charge.   If your getting one of the packages the price shown is what they are.  4 and 5k respectively.  If you had seen them earlier this week they were 5 and 6k respectively.

How was the sight block barrel in the nemesis compared to the honcho? I was able to borrow someone's and it does feel fairly loose compared to a bull or bushing barrel, but I'm not too familiar with the system and if it's that way intentionally. Was the nemesis pretty tight?

The sight block barrel fit in the Nemesis was quite a bit tighter than the Honcho.  I felt that everything on the Nemesis was fitted better and tighter than the Honcho.

  10. I have had a chance to shoot both the Titan, Nemesis and PT Honcho.  I will give my opinion.  I own the Titan and borrowed the Nemesis and Honcho to compare.

If money was no option I would choose the Nemesis.   I felt the sight block helped get the front sight back down and returned to zero a little quicker.  This in turn helped speed up my times.  With that being said I have my Titian running well for me and have found the load that works in my gun.

I was also fortunate to shoot a honcho side by side with the other two.  With the new race shop being open and PT putting out their Honcho with the sightblock its a great deal at 3k.  Even though this had the sightblock I was faster with my Titan.  I don’t think the PT slide to frame fit is as good as the Atlas’s either.  I also felt as though the barrel in both Atlas’s were better fit to the gun than the PT’s.  The PT’s barrel and sight block felt a little sloppy.

So if I was going into this test blind and had never shot any of these pistols I would’ve chosen the Nemesis.  Since money is a variable and I can’t afford it that would’ve left the option of the Honcho and Titan.  Of these two I would stick with what I have as I feel the Titan is a better pistol.

My J Kenny should show up any day. A question I have is are you able to “pre load” the tube like you would prior to a stage, or will it always auto load a round into the chamber?

yes you can preload your shotgun and it will not load a round onto the lifter.  It only autoloads when the bolt is locked open.
