    I need some help.

Took the SFx to the range with the new Freedomsmith trigger installed. 11 pound recoil spring. And a 6.5 pound Glock sear spring. All but 5 out of a hundred rounds were misfires.

Went home. Cut one coil off the OEM sear spring and put a Glock flat coil 17 pound recoil spring in. It seems the 11 pound spring would let the slide sag when held vertically.

I cut 2 and 1/2 coils of the new recoil spring.spring.

By-the-way, the Freedomsmith trigger is awesome.

Went back to the range this morning and the gun functioned fine except for three misfires out of 100 rounds. Accuracy was excellent. Trigger pull is about 4 and a quarter pounds.

My question is: Will the misfires go away after the gun breaks in, and what can I do to knock a pound off the trigger pull? My primers are Winchesters.

I have basically close to the same set up as you. Switched to fed primers and have been 100%  last 3000 rds

  2. I’m getting ready to start loading .40 major on my Dillion 650.  I will be using range brass.  Is there any brands I should stay away from?  I’ve heard pmc,  just looking for some input.  Thanks!

  3. Hello,

Ive been shooting uspsa production for the last few years,  most recently I’m shooting a tanfo Stock 2.  It’s an awesome gun.   I’ve been wanting to shoot limited major next season,  but haven’t wanted to spend the money on a new edge, or tanfo,  mags etc.  Recently I came across a deal that I couldn’t pass up.  It’s a xdm 5.25 in 40 cal.  It’s was sent to the Springfield pro shop and had action trigger job,  2lb 13 oz trigger.  Narrow Dawson front sight installed,  tungsten guide rod,  Springer brass magwell,  extended mag release,  and six mags with Dawson base pads.  The gun weighs 41.5 oz with a empty mag.  I know the guy who shot it and it wasn’t shot a lot.  It cost me about the price of a new 5.25.  Looks like I’m gonna try out limited.  I have no experience with 40 cal, hope I can shoot it as well as my stock 2!

  4. Hello guys, I shot a scsa match today with my stock 2. When I got home and was wiping my gun down and checking it over I noticed that my rear sight has a slight amount of play in the dovetail. Is this normal. If not what to do. Thanks

  5. Okay, Im sure this topic has been run in the ground but here goes. Ive been reloading for years, but at the moment I only shoot 9mm for uspsa. Around 10000+ rounds a year. Ive been using a square deal b for quite a while now. Ive been thinking about getting a xl 650. What do you all think? Worth it or not just for one caliber?

  6. I just finished my stock 2 tonight. I installed a 10 lb recoil spring, 13 lb hammerspring, eg extended firing pin, extreme one piece sear, bolo interrupter, daweson front sight, extreme titan hammer, cajun reduced power trigger spring. I polished alot on it, and had to fit the sear so the saftey would engage. Im getting 8lb double and 3.1 single. The only problem I have had is when I first started dry firing, the hammer wouldnt always drop on the reset on the first pull. It did it alot at first, but after a few hundred dryfires it seems to have stopped. Is this a break in issue? Thanks everyone for your posts and instructions!

  7. While working up some loads for my new stock 2 tonight I noticed that my feed ramp has a sharp little notch on the side of it. If you run finger towards the chamber it feels fine. Away from it and its sharp. Should I take a stone to it? Opinions?a763bac0e1c54d8e9f3f63a919aff5f2.jpg
