I'm from a small town in Missouri near where they hold the Bianchi Cup. I'm in Texas now. My fiancée and I were visiting my family in Missouri over the summer and acquired what is supposed to be THE pistol from the 1984 Bianchi Cup. It's an unusual story how we came about it....long story short, my dad passed away 3 years ago. He was an avid gun collector as were most of his buddies. My soon to be husband is an extremely knowledgeable and avid collector as well, particularly 1911s. Well, one of my dads oldest friends is a gun dealer and we went to see what he had. After looking through his guns he brought out this very cool, engraved, 1911 Colt. He told us he got it from a friend and let us acquire it from him because he knew my dad would love it too.
So, this pistol has engraved 6th Bianchi Cup on it. We are getting married very soon and I would really love to find out for him if this was the actual gun. And if so, would love to see pics of it in action or with Mr. Enos.
