I did all the work other than the barrel threading and comp clocking.
Those were done by a local smith close to me that works on rifles only.

Here is my swap.
Did exactly what you wanted to.
Just take a new 6 inch barrel and have a competent smith thread on your comp with 5 thou clearance.
Then you'll need to mess around with springs. You'll need to spring down to run minor and up to run major.

I have found.....before you rip that slide apart......that high velocity ammo pretty much eliminates 22lr issues in conversion kits. CCI Mini Mags are awesome for this.

I'm super interested in the Tanfoglio version of this comp. In fact my open build is on hold in hopes I can get one of these once your ready to move some.
Why there is only one option period for the Tanfoglios has always baffled me.

I've been using a Race Master holder with a Limited Custom and think it's spectacular.
DAA 100% gets my approval.

That's a stocked pistol up here in Canada. Has been for years. They call it the limited 2016 now as the new fugly limited is out in that God awful teal color.

Freedom Ventures will set you up with and Open Tanfoglio. You could get a limited custom from them along with a straight barrel and a comp. Turn it into a gold team.
I believe Double Tap can get SPS 2011s from the Philippines that are reasonably priced.
Where did you find the Isreal made 2011 up here?

I would also like to add that WD-40 Is not a lubricant in itself and switching to a grease is a wise choice.
WD-40 is a water displacement fluid similar to penetrating liquid. Don't use it for a purpose it wasn't designed for. Use a gun oil or grease designed to provide lubrication to sliding surfaces in the temperature ranges you shoot at.

I've been a moderator on a few sites that have gone through this exact situation. I've been a members on many more that had to do something.
Forums that charge fees die. It eventually happens to all of them.
Banner ads are the only solution I have ever seen work.
There are hundreds if not thousands of people here that lurk....then comment here and there....then contribute. Forums are a community. Without new members, communities die. Period.
