2011 for competition, Glock 19 for carry and self defense.

Same for me. Rick left and I was out. Seemed like a good time to get out of a show that was getting boring with Neagan over several seasons. Don't miss it at all, consider it over with how slow it became.

I've seen a couple high volume shooters use graphite or WD-40 in their magwell and the outside of mags to help keep from sticking. No personal experience, but they shoot a lot more than I do.

Just got my 5 MOA and like it thus far. Verla - check out EGW as they make rear site plates if you don't want to mill the slide.

I have the LSI on mine and really like it. Well made and the price was great as well.

I use the same die with the Hornady one shot sprayed on brass in a 5 gallon bucket then put the lid on and leavemmit for a bit. Brass goes into the die great after that set up.
-
I run mine pretty heavy, makes a gmr-15 feel light. Helps with dot movement and is the same as my 223 for easier cross training.

Dawson Match sights are great. Easy focus on the front fiber with nothing in the rear sight to pull your eye away.

Another vote for Ballistic Advantage. I'm not going for precision, but can stack rounds with one of their short barrels.

I bought a few of the gen 2 mags when they came out. One 2011 ran them great, the other 2011 would not run them no matter what i tried. Since switched to MBX and havent had an issue with either gub runing the mags.

I have a couple from MOA that run great. Only downside is sending in for machining your trigger group for the M2. Good to do that over winter.

Worst I have done so far is forget ammo for a pistol that would only reliably ignite federal match primers. Not too many extras of those around to buy when at a match.

I asked a grip manufacturer that makes griosmin both materials for their opinion on pros and cons. Aluminium is cheaper to produce and buy. Steel is heavier for better balance and recoil reduction. About 99% of what they sell is steel.

Another vote for the Dawson sights. I switched pretty quickly after beginning to the all black rear sight sight. Was also nervous about not having the rear dots to line up, but it really didn't impact like I thought it would. Might be worth the fiber front and rear sight as fibers are cheap and easy to replace if you want to use a sharpie as mentioned to black out.

Agree with Shep, wouldn't worry about swapping out as that's easy to do quickly. Challenge is cost. Right now, you can buy some good plinking ammo for under $0.30 a round. When I did the math, my component cost was almost that n it including dies, feeder plates etc. That said if you truly enjoy reloading, there is some entertainment factor that may make it worth spending a little more. For me, the economics need to work for me to want to load.

Like others mentioned, I do better by watching how better shooters do their transitions or run through the course. Do worse if I try and push too hard.

Small space heater or lots of warm clothes! Hard part in my opinion will be tedious things like loading primer tubes or grabbing vaseswhen your hands get cold.

Where did you see the Shooters Connection info? Can't seem to find it. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing, mine just started going into fun mode at the last match. Will take it apart to see if I'm having the same spring issue.

Interesting, guess the one I have just has a long chamber. Was worked on by CZ Custom, so maybe they opened it up a bit, or just got a long one from the factory. Been loading 165gr round nose pretty long and only limitation was the magazine. Guess this is part of why they say each gun is a little different.

What kind of CZ needed short loads? My shadow is only limited by the magazines at about 1.165"

Thanks for sharing. Was planning to tape up some targets in the garage this winter, but this may be a better option.

I've got a PT Evo Agressive grip right now. Ran it this past season. I don't live fire enough to build up a callous on my support hand palm. It gets scratched raw after about 250 rounds.
Anyone have experience with the standard/non-aggressive grip to compare? Or would you just sand down the aggressive grip in that one area?
I had the infinity standard grip, while you get the weight benefit, the grip seemed slippery to me when hands get sweaty and was all over in the rain. Switched to their aggressive grip on the next build which I thought was much better for staying put in your hand. The standard won't cut your hand, but if your hands sweat, might move around a bit.

I have the Peltor 500's but still have trouble with the cheek weld myself. I use the decibullz percussion earplugs when I'm on the clock, then switch to the ear muffsmuffs right after. Still not ideal, but helps and you can still hear well with the percussive filter.

Sounds like you have hit all the key points for brass processing. Only other thing is to make sure media is out of the case if cleaning with SS pins.
