As Farmer suggested, I would try adding a small base die. That cleaned up a lot of issues for my setup.

I have loaded thousands of major loads using both small pistol and small rifle primers with no distinguishable speed difference as mentioned above. This is using a hammer. Have heard of issues using a striker fire, but no experience there myself.

Everglades 115gr JHP version 2

These are 9mm minor loads at 1.120” using 5.4gr CFE. I did not measure to see if they grew but the chamber on this gun is very long so would have to grow quite a bit for that to be an issue. Crimp seems good and these don’t get anywhere near compressed. My best way to explain is it looks like Glock brass or prior major brass that wasn’t resized BUT they all case gauged this winter.
-
Anyone experienced this? Loaded quite a few 9mm rounds, case gauged them all, then put in an ammo case that goes with me to matches. Had a couple ammo related jams and those cases would not even come close to passing the case gauge.
Would humidity over time cause this? First time I had that issue. I rechecked all rounds in that box and maybe had 1 or 2 per 100 checking what was left in the travel ammo case. Also checked several hundred that never left the house and those all gauged great. Only thing I can come up with is weather or perhaps a reload session I forgot to case gauge which I find unlikely.
Thoughts?

I wonder if the Toni System mount would be lower? I can't tell from the pictures.
It’s actually a little higher and doesn’t fit the Holosun mount without making an adapter which then makes it taller.

Agree with others. Try them all and see what feels best for you. The math for power factor doesn’t always translate into what feels best for you as a shooter or with your gun.
-
Tested and no issues at all. The SRP didn’t even seem to add velocity in my load setup.
-
I haven’t made a load but minor Ammo with the comp will run with an 8lb spring just fine.

I'll send you a PM.

Did a lot of clicking around and found the MN 3Gun Group. Found the section for Match Rules updated March 21, 2022 which included the Modified Optics Division. Good news, should fit right in. I did not see mention in those rules regarding the max dimensions for pistol. Saw another set of rules during the travels that had maximum length of 9", max height 7" (round numbers) These rules stated could have optic mounted or extended mag but not both. Based on my checking my Shadow2 CO it was close to 7-1/2" H with my TTI mag.
Also found two clubs around 40 miles away in Forest Lake and St Cloud that are hosting 3Gun matches. My local club does USPSA but not 3Gun.
There is a MN3GG match this Saturday at SCAPSA. If you are around come shoot it or check it out. Everyone will be willing to talk gear with you if you have questions for next season. I wouldn't worry about your gear for this match too much either, just bring what you have and people will be willing to loan you any stuff you are missing.

Thinking about getting Honcho. Will only shoot Open 9MM. Very hard to find good review of the gun.
I know that wait times are crazy and not predicable. Is it worth to wait ?
The Honcho is awesome! There are quite a few out in the wild. Where are you and there might be someone in the area that can let you shoot a few rounds? I have been very happy with mine. I'm also not sure on the issues with customer service people mention. I had an issue not directly related to the gun and the owner gave me their cell number to call when at the range to facetime to help troubleshoot the issue. Not sure how you can beat that for service.
-
Could also be a sear issue, had that with mine but hiperfire took care of it with new parts so they should get you taken care of. Just check both areas so they can send you what you need.
-
Just FYI if you can get that light, you may have ignition issues with certain primers. I got mine that low years ago and had to start loading with only federal match primers. Was done with APEX and reduced power striker spring but several years ago and not 100% sure what else.

Lyman makes one that seems to work well.

For new shooters, I would say to have them only shoot as fast as they can do so accurately. Had a new shooter I brought with me once try to go at the pace of a few of the faster guys. He said the run went great, felt good and fast. Definitely zeroed the stage though with lots of mikes....
-
I made my own which was quite the adventure. Has retention without a hood which seems a little faster on the draw. Retention base is a safariland GLS. If you are looking to buy something, I think FS Tactical can make this or at least have seen them made for the thumb rest in the recent past.

Why not do both and combine the two? Have the sight system you can swap out and also have the frame drilled for a mount? My new gun is that way where I can swap out the sights for irons, slide ride, or slide racker with a frame mounted optic. Pretty versatile.
-
That I am aware of, nothing. I have a 750 and while I still have rookie numbers for my round count on this press, no issues with either 9mm (10,000ish) or 223 (4,500). Definitely need the case feeder to run well, but not sure why the knock on 223 as mine runs this great.
-
Having done both the slide ride and frame mount I'm finding I prefer the frame mount as it's a little easier to track the dot without that part moving. Not a huge difference, but seems preferable to me right now.

Another vote for Redding dies. Running their progressive die set with the micrometer seating stem for 25,000+ rounds and have no plans to change as they work great. had tried a few other brands before Redding and while they are more expensive, would have been better in the long run just starting with these.

I have run a Hiperfire 24c in several PCC rifles with good success. Had to replace the sear in one after many thousands of rounds as it started doubling, but Hiperfire sent that right out with an upgraded sear and it runs great.
-
Is it just the lighting is it there wear in the picture? Looks like the safety may be rubbing the slide and needs to be fit better if so.

Phoenix Trinity makes an extra aggressive Evo grip. The regular aggressive is quite sharp to begin with and helps stick to your hand.

With the gear you have, you could likely be in limited, modified, or tac-ops. I would suggest not getting anything new prior to your first match. Just show up to a match and ask others what they use and if you can try their gear for a stage. The multigun crew is generally super friendly.
