First time posting, but have been reading here for a while. I've shot about a dozen Steel matches at two different local clubs since May. I have always felt welcomed and I learned a tremendous amount at the matches about procedures, range commands, how to draw from a holster, reload in the middle of a string and most importantly of all how to do all of it safely. I am by no means fast, but I have been trying to place fundamentals over speed.
For next year I hope to try a USPSA match if I can get registered for one. I signed up for Practicescore which I think is also required. I'm sure I will have the usual questions when the time comes - what division do I start in, how many mags do I need, etc, ha!
