I have Wilson and Tripps! The Tripps are the better mag. Seat better, function better and just overall feel better in the gun.

I have had great experience with 1.180s I am thinking about going to 1.200 just to see if there is a difference. Also don't want to reinvent the wheel.

They are the best hands down!
-
Both are great! Get whichever one you like the the looks of best. Only thing if is for a single stack gett the Boss. The springer sits a little to low to be legal.

BBI is the best bullet I have used. Clean, cheap and accurate. I shoot them exclusively in 40 and 45
-
I use 4.9 of TG and BBI 200 RN and get great results.

I picked up that Grundhauser off of gunbroker. Thanks for the pointing me in the right direction.

I would be all over that if I sold my Edge.

I see you live in Kansas City. Your friend Merle? I know he has a Grundhauser 1911. I shot a few majors with Merle. That gun is very nice and runs like a raped ape.
Yes, that is the gun I am talking about.

Grundhauser Gunworks! Paul makes amazing .40 SS.
Yes he does!!! That is a lot of money though. One of my friends has one and its superb!

I can't get behind the sig max. Want to get a traditional 1911.

I am in the same dilemma for mags. I am just going with Brazos tuned mags. They are expensive but work!
-
I have never looked into that type of shooting. Thanks for the info. Do they use the same pistol rules?
-
Thanks for all the input!

So USPSA is superior to IDPA?
-
Gotcha, lots more pracrice is what I plan on it the future. I think I would benefit more from training and practice than just trying to shoot matches.
-
That is very true. Fast and loose, haha
-
I am thinking about shooting IDPA to get more accurate. My goal is to become a better shooter and more competitive in USPSA. I hope the two will bring together my speed an accuracy. Also looking for IDPA in the Kansas City area. Thoughts and suggestions please.

If you want to shoot 9mm and have a nice gun shoot production with a CZ. The new CZ are ready to go out of the box. You should be able to get one early spring when they go for sale in the US.
-
You just answered your own question. That is precisely why 40 is dominant and that is what I advise you to stick with.
-
Why rule out the Trojan?
-
There are more choices if you call Springfield direct they will build you a 40. Sig Max and the Trojan are probably your best bet for the money.

The biggest factor I think is all the points you lose shooting minor. If you can hit all Alphas then go 9mm otherwise I would stuck with major.

For the money I think a CK Arms SS is the best thing going. You could also get a Springfield TRP or STI Trojan and send it in for a trigger job and aftec extractor and be pretty good. Depends on what you want to spend.
