Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. My trouble with the oal is that i was using my lyman cast bullet handbook for info. They had a 140gr swc. I assumed (incorrectly) that i could use that data because the bullet i was using was lighter, and i wouldn't be over pressure. When i used their oal, the mouth of the brass was lined up with the lube groove in the bullet. I didn't want to push it deeper without asking people what they have done. I guess this is why you don't assume, lol. As far as the cz having a short throat, I'm aware of that, so i figured if it fits the cz, it should be good in my other 9mms, but I'd still check obviously. Just figured the cz would be the shortest compared to a springfield 1911, remington r1, beretta 92 and springfield xds. Thanks for all of your help.
  2. I got some of these coated and I'm having trouble finding the proper o.a.l. and starting load with titegroup. I'm finding info that says 1.10 oal with 3.3gr of titegroup. Does that sound right to you guys? Also, do these seat flush at the shoulder, like a 45acp swc, or should they stick out a bit more? These need to fit in a cz75b and a few other 9mms. I know czs have a short chamber. Thanks.
  3. Thank you for the info. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you with that measurement. Haven't been on in a few days. I think I'm going to give these to someone at my range who shoots 38 super. I also don't understand what a short throat means. Does if mean the chamber isn't as deep as a glocks? How can they ask be different?
  4. Hello everyone. This is my first post here. It was recommended by the guys at bayou bullets. I'm trying to load 150swc in my cz75b and xds.i have 3.5 gr of titegroup in them based off of 147gr data from the hodgdon website. They wouldn't chamber because I was dumb and didn't do a plunk test. They were to long and I pushed one in until it would drop in the barrel and I believe they are 1.160 (I'm not near them and can't measure them now). I can double check that when I get back home, but I wanted to know if anyone loads these with titegroup, and might have oal and charge weight. I usually wouldn't ask for load data online, but I can't find any info. I looked around on here and couldn't find what I was looking for but that's probably my fault. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm expecting to have to pull the rounds I made. Thanks for any help.
