I had a similar issue, found that the ejector wire (the one that kicks the completed rounds into the chute) had worked it's way up a bit and was rubbing on the block that pushes the case into station 1. Pushing it back down cured the problem for me.
I'll double check that. Thanks!

Yes,
The spring tester from Secure Firearm Products does this.
it is available directly from SFP Here or from Dillon Precision or Brownells
It will test most springs. However, it will not test the smaller diameter Glock springs. They are working on a fix for this problem.

Excellent! I have a bunch of springs that I need to check. Great info. Thanks!

Qtip with gun cleaner(brake cleaner) rubbed on the face of the slide. When this happens for me I find case lube / funk etc has built up there. Just sticky enough to cling to the case
I will try that. I thought it might be caused by case lube. I spray a little one shot on my 9mm cases.

Is there a way to determine or test the compression weight of various springs?

That's exactly what I did. It wasn't certain head-stamps - it was all head-stamps that met some resistance where the angle meets the main track.
Loaded bout 200 rounds today after using the file on the Station 1 Locator. Cases are no longer getting stuck halfway down the Locator, but they were sometimes not going into the track. They would end up exactly like the 2nd pic I posted in the original post, or come flying out the left side of the press.
I started going slower and watching the cases. When I go slow, there are no issues. So I started slightly slower, deliberate up-strokes & down-strokes. No issues with cases feeding in the last 150 rounds. I guess I was going too fast and sometimes the cases didn't have time to settle.
I am having the same issue. Seems to occur about every ten rounds or so. Case inserts all the way into the shell plate but then withdraws about a millimeter or so as the feed bar withdraws. Ideas?

I have not modified it yet. I want to get it down to 2.5 lbs.

I need to do some research!

Thank you. since I am already shooting an STI, I may stick with that. Grip on my Cz is a little small for my large hands.

Very good. Thank you for the info.

There was no TIN on the feed ramp when it was new?

Kinds what I was thinking.

Dvc that is.

40 is the only way to go. Edge or TS are both totally competitive and available for under 2k. Doing it again I would probably recommend the 2011 if you have any intention of shooting open down the road, so that the grip is the same. But my TS has been 100% reliable and stupid accurate, not to mention it gets 21 reloadable with no issues whatsoever.
I have an STI in 9 mm now (dcv limited) which I use for 3 gun. Also have a Cz 75 spo1 shadow target custom. I think I will sell the Cz and buy an STI edge in 40.

Realistically, .40 is the ONLY choice if you want to be competitive in Limited. (unless you are in a mag restricted state)
I'm in Texas. If we're mag restricted, I'm in big trouble! I think the 40 is the way to go.

Great advice.
Also, don't forget the alternative of shooting Limited with a 9mm (Minor).
Some advantages (cost, recoil, more rounds, etc) - not all disadvantages. [emoji4]
That's certainly good for thought.

I just switched back to the Lee die.

Good point!

I agree with the above and had to do it to my pin (s) also. However, why can't the manufactures have the pins made to that specification to begin with so that it will function properly out of the box?
That is kinda crazy!

Don't do it!
Thanks!

The TiN has worn off of my feed ramp through normal shooting (no polishing done by me)

Good to know! Thanks.

I agree with this, don't make a decision based on internet advice , if you're shooting SSP then shoot Production, if you're shooting ESP, then load up your mags and shoot Limited. After a couple of matches you'll have a better idea of which division you want to play in. If you want to shoot major then your choice is between .40 and .45. Starting out it's sometimes better to buy a good used pistol. Lots of them for sale and you get more gun for your money. Then after shooting a season you'll know exactly what you want then you can get a pistol that is the best fit. Above all, have fun and don't obsess about the gear.
Sounds like good advice! Thanks.

I have a Marauder and have been very happy with it. Does need a little trigger work, however.

Update to old thread....I cut about a coil and a half off the recoil spring. This solved my problem. Gun has worked flawlessly since.
Testing springs?

Has anyone tried to make one of these? Looks pretty simple.
