Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have only shot 1 idpa match. I have 2 questions. In my first match i shot my 1911, but in the next match i plan on shooting my glock 22. Am I required to only load 10 rounds in the magazine? My next question is what are the requirements for mag pouches? Do they have to be concealed and can it be a double mag pouch? Also where can you wear them? In the rules it seemed that the way it was written was they have to be worn behind the hip. Is this correct or did i just read it wrong? Sorry i know my second question had more than one included in it. Thank you in advance.
  2. I am planning on shooting in my first IDPA match in a few weeks. The only holster i have for my glock 22 is my duty holster ( im a cop). Is the cqc serpa holster IDPA legal? I was planning on buying one anyway I figur since im buying a holster maybe i could use it in the match. Oh and by the way im going to compete in stock servie pistol class.
  3. What would be the best bullet weight for an 18 in. barrell with a 1/7 twist? I will only be shooting out to 200-250 yards. Will 55grn. fmj work fine or will i need something heavier?
  4. Does the miculek compensator meet the 1 inch by 3 inch rule? (or how ever you spell miculek.)
  5. thanks for the replys. In the few matches i have shot some stages had flash target out to 200-250 yds. I think i will go with a medium weight ss barrrel in 18-20 in lenght depending on what i could find. Thanks for th input.
  6. I am looking to build an ar-15 type rifle to use in 3-gun matches. I was wondering what would be the best dimensions for the barrel? By dimensions i mean length and thickness. Should i go with a 20, 18 or 16 inch? Should it be a bull barrel or medium weight barrel? What type of compensator would be best? I am planning to shoot in the tactical class and this will be the only purpose for the gun. Thanks in advance.
