  1. I recently acquired a second XL650 and sent it off to Dillon for a grease zerk install and to have it looked over as it was an early gen model that had been laying around for awhile by the look of it. Anyways when the press came back from Dillon, there was a part in the box that I did not ship out. As far as I can tell, this does not belong on a XL650. I could not see any markings on the part. Thought there is a chance it goes to one of Dillon's other machines, but I have no experience with those.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Yeah I use Lee FCD for my pistol stuff and have never been able to totally get rid of the brass shavings. The shavings are the worst with 9mm and the least with my 38 special with the 45 ACP being somewhere in between. Never have figured out why one caliber is worst than another although I haven't had any problems associated with the shavings in thousands of rounds so I just keep a brush by my 650. I am not a gamer tho and all my pistol stuff is just range ammo.

  3. Another PSA here. If you have cats in your residence, cover that bucket! For some reason they like using buckets of brass as kitty litter.

Oh that would have really pissed me off. Then again I'm not a cat person haha

  4. Remember that reloading is like making chocolate chip cookies. The basic ingredients are the same, but every grandma has her recipe that is the best.

Start with small quantities of components, use your manuals, and test with your guns. Find the recipe that works the best for you. Always ask for help, but know what works for you, in your guns, with your budget might be different. Enjoy the process and extra ammo you will be able to shoot with your budget.

I like that analogy it is spot on.

  5. Anybody have any experience with these? I was thinking about buying one but would love to hear some reviews first. All the reviews I can seem to find are from the company or the initial write ups from shot show. As always, thanks in advance for your advice.

  6. I am a unique fan. On my 550, I run +/- .1 I've used it in .380, 9mm, shotgun and it is the secret of my wet dream .45 acp rounds.

I love it in 38 special and have been really tempted to try it in 45. I use red dot currently, but would be nice to double down on a powder for both.
