Stuart, what would it take to convert the SP01 Accu to SA only?

Really enjoy your out of the box reviews!
Same here. Gives you a better idea of what it really can do rather than a review with hundreds of rounds through it.

There are some incredible 1911 builders out there. It really depends on what you want from a Custom 1911.
Can you list some details of what you are wanting, your probable budget and how soon.
Generally a good builder can be backed up with work.

Can anyone PM me the contact info for a gunsmith who can get my 1911 9mm down to a RELIABLE 2.5 - 2.75#? Thanks.
Go see Derrick at Palm Beach Shooting Center. He is a builder of custom guns, so I am sure he can handle this for you.

No if ands or buts for 40, Tripp
I'm a big fan of Tripp mags, so I would have to agree with this.
-
Try JEM Enterprises.
Agree with this.
Many custom builders are really speaking very highly about these frames.

Don't know if this will help, I have a old Tactical Sport, it has been used by me every chance I get so has had many rounds though it.
I was having problems getting the CZ Steal guide rod to fit, in fact it just didn't fit the gun at all, I was force to use the standard plastic guide rod. I have tried a few but finialy found one that works.
DPM Recoil system was the one that works for me, I had a problem with one I received but the owner went out of his way to help me on Skype, and I can not say enough good things about his customer service. He was a pleasure to deal with, and so far his product has been great for me too. I am getting much faster follow up shoot now with this system.
On my gun (9mm) it has a cap that replaces the plastic factory part, I think it improves the looks too.
Is this one for a TS? Can't see to find it on their site.

Grab A gun has the .40 TS for $1104 plus $5.99 for shipping. Don't be concerned about the 2 mags, as it comes with 3 mags. Just a bad description.

I've been running Tripp's for a little while now without any issues.

Anyone have an idea of the current lead times if you place an order today for a DVC limited? I ordered one through my LGS and they weren't able to tell me much
I ordered one about 6 weeks ago, was told to expect sometime in November (if lucky)

FYI the Apex flat faced triggers are for sale
https://store.apextactical.com/WebDirect/Products/Details/192145
Thanks for posting. Been waiting for it to come out. Since my P320 is more of a range toy. Just ordered it as I am really not a fan of the current trigger, as I get a bit of trigger bite when I ran over a couple hundred rounds through it.

In your price range, would personally look at a Springfield. A target Loaded in Stainless could still be found, or as mentioned the range Officer is another great choice.
For the price of a Springfield, their CS and warranty department is second to none.

To help those wondering, I was told they had a batch of guns go out configured for international shipments, however, they were for domestic sale. That is where the confusion came in and why some folks got 126s in place of 140s. If you got 126s, call STI. My replacement mags arrived in 3 days.
Did you get to keep the 126's or do they have to go back?

Come down to Markham park for a match and I'm sure one of the locals will let you fondle some infinitys.
That would be my recommendation as well. It has been a while but I remember seeing a used one or two over the years at Palm Beach Shooting Center.
It may not hurt to call SVI, and discuss the build. They certainly will take their time to go over everything with you before ordering.
An SVI is on my bucket list. Hopefully will be ordering one.

This one is on my radar. Just need to pull the trigger already.

Firearms For Sale has the 40 S&W for $861.
-
$999 at TechNetArmory.com
That's for a 40 S&W, not 9mm.

Jon, pretty sure I saw a few Duty One's at Guns and Range in downtown WPB. Almost certain they are .45, but at least you can get to handle one in person. From memory, they had both a 5" and 4". May want to call first to make sure I am correct that they are indeed Duty Ones.
Which Distributors have X-Caliburs in stock?

May want to watch a place named Sportsmans Supply on Gunbroker. He has had about 6 of them listed the past couple of months as a penny auction. Last one sold for a bit over $900.
