Of the three you mention, the RO is the only logical choice.  You get a forged frame and slide that is well fit.  You also get a very accurate barrel that is also well fit.  Most of the rest of the parts are MIM, but the last a long time.  You can replace them with billet or bar stock parts later, after 20-30,000 rounds.  The trigger will suck when new.  After about 400 rounds it will smooth out.  If you want a lighter, crisper trigger pull, replace the ILS system in the Main Spring Housing with standard parts.  Cost- about $15.  You could go to an SA Loaded for a touch more money, or a Dan Wesson for a lot more.

New SA’s no longer have the ILS.

  2. They are not forcing the consumer base to buy special mags. No offense intended, but it seems you didn't do your due diligence before purchasing this gun.

Not sure why they are saying you can only purchase 9 round mags on the promotion, as they are the same price as the 10 rounds mags. Might be worth a call to Springfield to see about ordering the 10 rounders.

I'd like to hear your experience with Fusion Firearms.

I own three Fusions. Two goverments, one in 9mm and another in .45. The third is a CCO in .45.  All have been perfect since day one, but others have have had some problems.

My biggest gripe with them, they took way longer to get then originally quoted (this was back when he first started the company).

While Bob's firearms do have a less than stellar reputation, And in some cases, very well deserved, I have been pleased with mine.

Im not one to wait...the custom build lead times are crazy to me.  I sometimes think the extended wait times are to create a perceived value more then it actually takes 15 months to build a gun.  If it took most of us 15 months to do our jobs we wouldn't have one.  There is no reason it takes 15 months to build a gun.  They dont want to hire more people or more equipment because they want to keep the perceived value of the product high.  IMHO.

What a bunch of bunk. If you think 15 months is long, then I guess Wilson Combat with wait times as long as 4 years on some of their models would really drive you nuts.

  5. While I understand your frustration in getting a new firearm and having problems right out of the box, to say that 4-6 weeks means they do not care about customers or they have so many bad firearms, their staff is inundated with bad product is wrong on both points.

4-6 weeks is not unheard of when returning a firearm for service. While Armscor sells a fair amount of guns, they do not have a large facility or staff. It actually is rather small, as they are really an Importer and not the manufacturer.

If you cannot wait, then take it back for a refund.

  6. I didn't think they were either Palmbeach1, the importer here get's them but no idea where from or how old they are. I know then we got screwed by our govt in 04 we were lucky to fet much and it was a slow trickle indeed.

Possible it is a special makeup for the distributor. Sorta like Lipsey's here in the States having specials done for them.

  7. Why are you determined to run an off-brand gun, do you live in South America or something? The automotive equivalent to this is:What's the best car made today between these choices: The Geely GE, SsangYong Chairman, Mitsubishi Mirage or the Wheego LiFe? Other suggestions aside from Ford, GM and Toyota are welcome, but I can't think of anyone that makes a comparable sedan. If you're not sure what you want but you're considering the weirdest guns that no one likes for no stated reason and refuse to consider what the entire industry is built around, then how are we going to decide for you?Have you considered the Taurus ____?

Now here is a post full of information. Do you really thinks it adds anything to the conversation?

  8. Pardon my ignorance, but is this a CZ product or is it a customized CZ from an aftermarket shop? Is this from CZC? Is CZC like Smith and Wesson's "performance center" or is it a completely different company?

It is a CZ product, not CZC.

  9. Picked up mine today, haven't got it to the range yet but the trigger is really nice. My trigger is registering 2.10 SA and 7lbs DA. I like the way it feels in my hand, but the mag release is somewhat flush, small and a bit hard to reach.

Picked mine up on Monday. Like you, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

Glad I saw Kingmans post about his arriving dirty, as mine was very dirty. If I hadn't read his post, would have been on its way back to Davidsons.

Hope at some point there is a better mag release, as I agree, a bit small and flush.

  10. I believe Atlas will become very popular in the near future. I started a build with them a few days ago for a 2011. Adam provided great customer service and took the time to answer my questions. It will be a long 12 to 16 weeks....

16 weeks is nothing......try 24 months or a Springfield Pro or 18 months for an Infinity..

    Be happy

Or 7 years for a Stan Chen.

  11. After handling and shooting one of the regular Pros, went ahead and ordered one of XT's from Davidisons. They had them in stock, and from what I have found, were the least expensive.

Not sure if I will have before the New Years holiday. Will report back once received and after some range time.
