  1. SDM Front Sight (drilled out to make replacing rod eaiser), JM spring kit and action job, just removed hammer spur and some excess material today. Looks like I could remove more material on hammer (what do ya'll think?). Everything I've done to this gun came from post on this forum. Still need to get someone to polish cylinder holes and chamfer them.

  2. I use 5.1 gr N320 with a 230 gr Montana Gold Round Nose and get a 165 PF. It burns clean and I have not had any problems with it except; when I opened a "new" 4lb. bottle of what I thought was N320 and loaded a couple hundred rounds, I could tell I wasn't getting my normal velocity and cylinder and barrel were full of unburnt powder. I figured the bottle was labeled wrong, and this must be N340 or N330, so I opened another bottle of N320 and everything was back to normal. Expensive power to have the wrong label on it........ :angry2: So I guess we can't always believe what we read.

  3. Thanks Guys......I think I'll wait till it breaks, hopefully during practice, then drill out the front of the sight. Also wanted to thank everyone on the forum, I got JM's "Action Job" DVD, and cleaned up my 625 & 686. They both have a better actions now, but I still can't talk myself into filing off the strain screw. They are backed about about one turn with finger nail polish around them. :roflol:

    Thanks,

  4. Thanks for the info......I've been shooting a Glock 35, and was just thinking about trying something different, a CZ , Para or Beretta. My Glock is very reliable and I had Charlie Vanek do the trigger (great trigger),............. so it will probably be smart to stay with the Glock.

  5. Is anyone reloading Armscor brass in 40 S&W? I saw a few post from last year where Armscor was having problems with their brass. I use Starline now, but Armscor's price is lower, and I thought if the problems they were having has been corrected, I would like to try them out.
