I love Tarantino and this was a huge let down. It was like a reverb of his first movie.

I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I thought it was decent. If you want painfully slow, watch Bloodline on Netflix.

So Taran like SV mags (when equipped with TTI basepad, spring and follower) and he likes the new STI ( equipped with TTI basepads, spring and follower)
I wonder why he has no love for the "Wacky aftermarket magazines" (MBX ? we can assume) Can it be because he looses sales of basepads, springs and followers? hmm

Now that's pretty darn cool.
Cool indeed

I would go straight to a 9mm. I have found 1911 conversions to have a problem with the mainspring weight for 22s. Plus 22s in general can be fenicky.

I love the idea of electronic ear muffs. But in the end, they're too hot for me. Plus with molded plugs, I can block out all the jackles in the background.

No rule I know of. I'm mixed. I've see a lot do this, I don't like it because you take your attention off the gun and I've seen a few people reach out and almost sweep themselves. As far as the mechanics of jacking the round out like that - I think it's much safer than that slow, hand roll over the top of the gun that some people contort all around to show clear afterwards. Personally I hold it straight out with a slight elbow bend and sharply yank it back. Usually it's somewhere near the RO or it smacks them in the chest. If they want to catch it - it's fine. Otherwise, I know where it went.
Although - if I were shooting 18 stages of 38SC - I can understand not wanting to leave 1/3 of a box of ammo lying on the ground. Most that I've seen do this do it fairly easily - and if they have any problem catching the round - they don't bother trying trying to recover the catch.
Agreed

Years ago I had a similar issue. I got over this by going first in a little local IDPA match week after week until I got over the jitters.

Agree with this and the other posts about being hydrated.

I think all of the replies about slowing down are spot on. Safety first, but take it slow until you get the hang of it. There's no $1M prize at stake.

I use over the counter sleep aid or melatonin. Even then, I have no problem getting up.
