  1. Good tidbit of information. I never actually knew myself. Guess that shows my lack of age in the sport.

  2. Thanks Shooterdy. I ended up grabbing a Marauder in 40 and an edge in 40. Looking back I wish I would've got the marauder in 9 as it's nice to have it for steel and 3 gun.

  3. I just received my Marauder in 40 from SC. I have to say this gun feels very well balanced. I haven't got it on the range yet, so I'll have to get back to you on that one. I also own an Edge in 40 and the lack of dust cover on the Marauder should make for a nice pistol to shoot 40 minor in. My plans for it were to use as a back up pistol for Limited in case my Edge goes down. I will use it primarily for 3 gun and shoot minor loads. I'm thinking it'll be a great set up in 40.

  4. I think the window on the RMR in combination with the 7.5 MOA dot causes for an extremely hard sight picture. I have been thinking the DP Pro with a 3.5 MOA. I think I'll start there. Worst case scenario it doesn't work and I'll throw it on my rifle as an offset mount. Thanks BurnedOut. GlockGuy, I agree with your assessment that it is situational. I shoot USPSA so I want the fastest most accurate dot/sight picture. Which CMORE are you using? I'm a ways away from purchasing an open gun so I'm in no rush. I can stick one on my CORE M&P for the time being to practice.

  5. Is a 3 moa dot that hard to pick up? I am hesitant to pick up a 6+ dot since they seem to take up a bunch of real estate in the lens. Then again I had been looking through an RMR on my brothers Sig. Would 4 MOA be a good compromise between size and speed?

  6. I too like the RTS2. I was wondering what dot size to go for? I like smaller dots myself but I've seen so many guys running the bigger dots. Does that decrease accuracy or is it negligible?

  7. So I think the triggers are hit and miss. Felt one that was decent and one that was lacking. I recently sent my gun to salient arms to get their flat face trigger. I have to say that I am really UNIMPRESSED. Most will feed crap about making a bad decision and call sub par really good. The only difference beside the trigger being flat was the weight decreased about a lb. all that for 300 bucks. I called to get clarification if something was out of sync or maybe it wasn't done right and I have yet to receive a response after two weeks from either my email or phone call. I have felt the Apex before and it feels better than the salient for a cheaper price and you can install it yourself. Honestly I don't see an improvement over the stock pro trigger that can justify 150 plus. Jut my opinion though.

  8. Thank you all for your support. update: I have since bit the bullet and transitioned to an edge in 40. I'm loving every second of it. Won my first match the first time out with it. To be fair though there was only about 10 ppl there. But hey, I'll take it.

A few things I've noticed are the increases in accuracy and speed the the edge will operate at. It is a new platform so I'm having to get used to a few things but am satisfied with the change. Time to ramp up training and make A class.
