Hi all, I have a question, I can compare my pistol to similar pistol later next week at one of local stores but I am really anxious to find out if a got a broken one or if this is a normal thing....
The backstrap on my brand new pistol once installed is a bit loose, not like it's rattling or something, it is just not as tight as my XDM 5.25 for example, once installed I can slide it up and down along the handle approximately 0,5mm. In my XDM for example when installed it rock solid, no movement in any direction as if it it is permanently attached to the handle. This one though does not feel like that, I can either slide it up to press against upper portion of handle and then there will be slight gap between backstrap and bottom of the handle (right side of the illustration below), Or I can slide it down and then gap will be at the top as shown on left side of the illustration below.
Can you please advise if this is normal or no, is yours doing the same thing? Should I talk to s&w regarding this issue?
PS: the type of backstrap is the new type they have, one with a bit more aggressive texturing with more rubber feel.
