  1.
Really?  With 3.7 I am at 138pf, and 1080 fps with a SD of 6 or so.  This seems like it would be pretty efficient, and if I up the charge I am over 140pf easy.

The bore isn't what is getting dirty it is the rest of the gun.  Thick carbon and sludge after 5 to 10k.  I don't clean guns often, but if I can find a cleaner powder that makes my life easier that is what I want.

I either fat finger'd or my phone auto corrected to 130. What I originally meant to type was 138 PF. From what I found with my experience with TG is the PF stays pretty constant once you get close to causing the pressure seal. With conversations I've had with wobbly and idescribe, I no longer chase that minimum PF. I prefer to have a little cleaner firing and manage the tiny bit of extra recoil with grip.

  2. 125gr RN Blue Bullet
    3.7gr Titegroup
    1.110” OAL
    CCI primer
It is dirty but goes bang and hits what I aim at.

Is the Sport Pistol pretty clean?  What about smoke?  I still have 16+ pounds of Titegroup, but it is some filthy stuff and may try a different powder in the future.  Thanks.
Titegroup is filthy because you're not loading enough gunpowder into the shell for it to build up enough pressure to expand the case to the barrel and create a pressure seal. If you load a little more powder it will become a much cleaner shooting powder. Usually with my loads 125gr Blue Bullets, around 3.9gr TG it seals up and shoots pretty clean. And PF stays right around 130.

  3. I think Blue Bullets listened. Friend of mine just received and order today with a sticker on the box ..." Now cleaner to load, no more blue fingers" . Interested to see what they did.
Nice! I'm getting ready to order some more. Can't wait to see if this is true. I guess it doesn't really matter since I wear surgical gloves while reloading. But it'll be nice to not get smurf dust all over my gloves as well.

  4. I have not had any problems with Blue Bullets. Only problem I know is when people run their 355 9mm bullets. Usually with coated lead you want a little more diameter for the rifling to have something to bite into. Jacketed bullets are fine at 355, they're harder so the rifling has enough material to bite into. That's usually where you find people that have accuracy problems. 355 lead bullets is softer than jacketed and just doesn't have enough material for the rifling to do it's job. Slug your barrel and see what you need to run. Most of the time it's 356. Sometimes might even take 357. I run Blue Bullets 125gr 356 diameter RN 9mm with 3.9gr of Titegroup with excellent results.

  5. I know they're pricey, but give the Henning grips a look. I just put some on my Shadow 2 and they are the best grips I have ever wrapped my hands around. I like them better than the LOK grips I've handled.

  6. You're usually pretty solid if you get the Bladetech mounting holes. Pretty much everyone makes stuff to fit them. If you're not using a BOSS hanger, I highly suggest it. If you're happy with your existing hanger, then just make sure it's compatible with Bladetech's system and you'll be fine. If you want to take some of the confusion out of it and you want to go with the BOSS hanger, just go to Ben Stoeger Pro Shop and order up both.

  7. Good friend of mine uses those on his Tang. I've always been concerned of what would happen if you had some type of ammo blowout. Pretty rough on the old hands. Never had it happen to me, but was shooting a match when a guy shot what was probably a double charged round in a Glock. Gun was fine, but it blew the mag out of the gun.
Yeah, I have no idea. But if you load your own ammo and have great QC, no need to really worry. I think the odds are pretty well in your favor otherwise.

  8. I don't know about IDPA since I don't shoot in it. But there's a list of Production legal guns in USPSA. Check the list and see if it's listed. If it's on the list, you're good to go.

  9. In my experience, it's one of 2 things (or maybe a combination of both lol).

    1. Your grips are rubbing against your Mags. Take a sharpie (or Dycum blue) and paint the inside of your grips. Run your Mags in and out of the well. If any of the sharpie is missing then file that spot down.

    2. Mag Release spring. You can either modify your stock one to put a bend at the end of the appropriate leg, or CZC sells these. You can use the pic as reference if you choose to modify your original mag release spring.

  10. My dad is looking for a fiber optic rear sight for his shadow 2, but I didn't see this in a quick Google search. Does anyone make one? Thanks.
I'd check out something from Dawson Precision. Probably be your best bet.

  11. I'm not sure 100% sure, hopefully someone else much more knowledgeable than I will chime in. But I think the comp hammer has some geometry changes that make the trigger pull much lighter and smoother. It's usually a good thing to swap out from what I understand.

  12. Slug your barrel and see what is best. Also, bullet composition plays into bullet diameter. 355 is fine for plated bullets. But if you're shooting lead or coated lead, you want to step up to 356 or even 357 and possibly even 358. Slug your barrel and find out what your optimum diameter will be.
